My issue is that there are very few decent character driven comedies with great writing. It's rehashed shite, "quiz shows" or reality wank.

 

Best of a current bad bunch for me of that ilk is Upstart Crow and Back.

Part of the issue is that comedy is very subjective. What I enjoy and laugh at makes MrsD cringe and vice versa. She thinks Mrs Browns Boys is side-splittingly funny. I think it's the same jokes rehashed every episode. Vice versa for stuff I like.

 

We certainly don't want reruns of slapstick humour like Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

Very funny. 

 

Finally got around to starting Narcos last night. Only watched the first episode. Very very good. Going to enjoy this. Hope it maintains the levels of that episode.

Ozark ending pretty much in line with the series, a let down

Back is quite similar to Peep Show, which I loved.

 

Cats is ace, because I think Jimmy Carr is brilliant.

Not a show but caught peter Kay's new warbys advert earlier. Quite funny, even if the product is questionable.

100% correct, it's as shit as it gets and there is only really "own brand" value stuff that gets anywhere near close to being as biz. It's all about taste though, I find it doughy and awful, but I find most processed pre-sliced bread is cack to be honest.

 

I saw one the other day in the supermarket that said something like "stays fresh for 7 days"............how the fuck is that possible, who would eat it? - why not just buy a fresh loaf from the bakery every one or two days?

Stuck into this 10 part Vietnam War documentary on BBC4. Thought it was a re-run of a really old one but Wikipedia tells me its brand new.
