  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Done the Waco and Boston Marathon documentaries on netflix

Knew the headlines and top level details

Wasn't aware of the man hunt post bombing and interesting to see the dynamics (fuck ups) made by the authorities at Waco

Both only 3 episodes, with a watch

Waco one was very good. Fuck ups were ridiculous. But those Waco folk interviewed....Just wow!!

Boston is next up

Such a massive fuck up from all the law enforcement agencies. Storming the place, the tanks, etc. Fuck me, how not go de-escalate a situation.

But, blimey, those “survivors” and their blind faith to Koresh. It’s another level over there

Aye, when you look at issues caused by God in the states I sort of think Mohammed gets a hard time off them (see Boston documentary for examples)

Was also bit mad to see the Oklahoma bomber was a member of the audience watching it all outside

Anyone watch the 1st part of the Raoul Moat programme last night?

He was a proper nut job that one!

Sucession, one if the funniest episodes tonight.

Deffo. Absolutely brilliant.

@MancWanderer I've made a mistake! That's not the Jonestown documentary I should have suggested. It's mainly survivors recounting their experiences. THIS is the best one - a Storyville series from the BBC called 'Terror in the Jungle', but only available on youtube now. Apologies! My memory is fucked.

The pencil line through the name is a masterpiece of plot development

That’s Yellowstone and 1883 completed, both excellent. Now time to start on 1923

Just loved how it leaves it open to whatever the characters pour into it. A one scene hour long piece of genius.

When Greg suggested he could be number two 😆

The Storyville is the one

Makes Waco look like a picnic numbers wise

I'm 4 episodes into The Good Mothers.  Excellent so far.  Cheers for the recommendation @bolty58.

Bit dark but I am enjoying it.

Having spent quite a lot of time over there (not quite that far south but it's where the family originates from - Cosenza even though it has now been based in the Napoli area for a century or so) the attitudes and actions depicted are authentic.

The patriarch is always right. Fuck with that and you'll get retribution. On that you can depend.

Yep, very dark!  Finished it last night.  Not many laughs to be had and had the same oppressive tone that Gomorrah had.

That said, thoroughly enjoyed it.

One thing that baffles me though is the amount of money these mafia families must extort, yet they all still live in shitholes.  Makes you wonder why they bother.
