Books are very good as well. TV series has stayed very close to them plus you get stuff about character backgrounds etc with the books that you don't get with TV

Mick Jagger was a big fan of them and when he found out there was going to be a series, he asked if he could do the theme music and so got the gig

Thoughts on Slow Horses? Watched a couple last night, quite like the set up and atmosphere to it. Worth doing the lot?

Definitely. Oldman absolutely brilliant.

Enjoyed Shogun, maaaaaybe sightly underwhelming conclusion but I liked it overall. Another 2 series in the works.

Watched that and Dark Matter at same time, got really into that.

Loved Shogun. Binned Dark Matter - could not get into that at all.

I read all the books before the tv series came out so I had what the characters looked like all imagined in my head.

River was John Snow from Game of Thrones

Lamb was Ted Roach from The Bill

Just watched the first episode of season 2 of Tulsa King.

Enjoyed the first series - this episode seemed a bit contrived and overdid the corn.

Hopefully just scene setting for another good season.

I'd never seen the TV series 'The Old Man' with Jeff Bridges. Happened to see an advert for series 2 so we've just watched the whole of series 1.

Deep spy type stuff in the US related to activities in Afghanistan etc.

Grows on you. 7/10.

Would be remiss of me not to mention the 'farmers' harvesting yet another trophy in our Celebrity Masterchef. Amalfi boy too. The missus is still celebrating.

Going to give Nightsleeper another go. Watched episode 1 and was underwhelmed.

first episode isn't great, in fact next to nothing happens really, it does perk up though

Watched the first three episodes of the Menendez brothers thing on Netflix.  Seems a bit daft but watchable all the same.

Proper cunts those two.

Never knew one of them wore a wig.

Fucked it off after 4 and a bit episodes.  Boring and repetitive.
