I implore anybody to watch this and still say we should abandon Trident Challenge accepted! I'd abandon it tomorrow. Just watched the first half again. Scared the bejesus out of me the first time round. Despite its age it still carries an impact doesn't it? Watched the Nicola Bulley thing earlier too. It's been a grim evenings viewing that. Quote

Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted October 14 Site Supporter Posted October 14 I actually struggled with Alma’s not normal first and second episode of series 2, but fucking hell just watched episode 3 and it’s brilliant. Looking forward to the rest of it now. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted October 15 Posted October 15 there is an episode of Monsters (about the Menendez brothers) that is cinematic genius. its filmed as a oner, slowly zooming in, focusing on one of them. you only see one face in the entire episode; its practically a monologue Quote

Don't do horror. If I want that I'll watch the DMB's play. Started 'Rivals' too but binned that after one episode too. Plenty of shagging and Doctor Who saying 'cunt' a lot. Too madcap for us. Got to S2 ep 8 of The Old Man. Intriguing but a bit of a bugger to completely understand wtf is going on. Quote

Members bolty58 Posted October 28 Members Posted October 28 I can already here the guffaws but, in the absence of much decent viewing at present (Showtrial excluded - best on TV atm) the missus and I have been watching 'Steam Train Britain'. Plenty of Bury Bolton Street, Rammy and Rawtenstall clips. Loving every minute. Fire away. Quote

Fckin massive engineering, love it. Some of those train and truck drivers are proper tough lads Quote

Every time I get back there is always a visit to Bury Bolton Street to sip some of their excellent oat stout on the platform and watch the steam trains go by. Nice way to while away a few hours. As a kid they seemed like living breathing animals to me then the engineering side of it kicked in. Quote
Smiley Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Enjoyed Monsters. Currently on the Zodiac Killer thing on Netflix. Good so far. Joan was an OK watch, especially as she wore sussies a couple of times! Quote
