Members bolty58 Posted July 26 Members Posted July 26 Far North. A New Zealand based series slightly reminiscent of Lock, Stock. Chinese drug cartel exporting to NZ where an inept 'criminal gang' waits to receive half a ton of class A's. Only watched first two so far. Shows promise. Quote

MancWanderer Posted August 2 Posted August 2 One for @bolty58 amongst others Receiver on Netflix Decent follow up to Quarterback Fuck me those boys take some hits. Always saw them as the flyboys/gloryboys. Blimey!! @mickbrown worth a look. Like Quarterback won’t convince you to like the sport but reckon you’ll like it Quote
Members bolty58 Posted August 2 Members Posted August 2 Cheers Manc. I am on to that. Time to wind the other bloke you mention up a bit. He'll be screaming 'bullshit' at the top of his lungs. My original trial at the Bolton Braves was at WR. Quick enough and a good catcher at the time but the physical battering was deemed too rigorous for late 20's by Sam Spodofora and his coaching team. Linebackers coach approached me and said words to the effect of "you'd be better off dishing it out than receiving it. Join my lot" and my journey to starting MLB was off and running. WR's were often my prey and dished plenty out. Copped a belter in Toxteth playing the Merseyside Centurions though. Covering one little WR who was as fast as lightning but the ball was handed off to a RB leaving me isolated on the other side of the field with this little twat close by. I was 'ball watching' in case the RB pivoted and came my way when this little git came flying in and got under my faceguard with the top of his helmet right on the point of the chin. You do actually see stars I discovered that on that day. I'll give Billy Bullshit and others the chance to regurgitate the Alan Partridge line yet again. The equaliser was delivered later in the game. Quote
deeane Koontz Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Starting Bosch again. hopefully I'll finish it this time 😄 Quote

Cracking - cheers mate. Struck by two things - one, the opulent life style. Nowt new mind - we saw it with the cameras following Patrick Mahomes around. This time, Kittle's matchday party bus had me saying WTF? They live a very privileged life. Secondly, how much of a pounding these blokes bodies actually take. Makes me wonder if they are virtual raspberry ripples when they age? I know the money would be a tremendous panacea but, fucking hell they get a battering. Quote

Mustvsuffer later in life Yeah the Kittle party bus is a bit cringey Quote

jayjayoghani Posted August 4 Posted August 4 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cops_(British_TV_series) Aye pretty gritty. Portrayed the police as little different to the criminals. The real police stopped acting as advisors they were that pissed off with their depiction. Quote
