  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

What a Big Bag of Shite

I end up at this point with everything conky Suranne is in. Hammy just doesn't cut it.

The latest two-parter of 24 Hours In Police Custody is very disturbing.

He is one odd boy, he just seemed to have absolutely zero remorse, thankfully he didn't manage to do what he was actually planning.

Looking forward to The Iris Affair starting in a few days time.

Blue Lights just gets better and better.

Started the Guinness thing too as mentioned by another poster earlier. Looking good so far.

New Partridge series on iPlayer is fucking superb.

Blue Lights is top drawer, it manages to be funny as funny things happen without being a comedy and there are certain characters you really want to do well.

This series touches on the troubles without becoming stupid. It is great drama.

The Guinness thing also gets better as it progresses. Imagine second series is nailed on.

I wasn't expecting much but it is very good.

That focus group - 'buy a pan..' 😁

I had to pause it after the nettle bit. 😁

Borderline on ITV.  Prob talked about a year ago (!) but really good - crime drama set on Irish border.  Similar to The Bridge with 2 detectives from either side having to work together despite character clashes.

Edit: I think it’s new to ITVX, was on MGM+ last year, whatever that is.

Just watched it. Scary sounds like a slice of ‘luck’ saved lots of lives, knew nothing about this story.

It was and you are correct. Very good.

I thought 1st series was better than the 2nd but still enjoyed it, this 3rd series has had a great start and looks set to be very good.

I've never been to Belfast but i know people who have said its just like a normal city really and the people are nice, just wondering if the natives would view Blue lights as realistic as it sometimes comes across that the Peelers have very little authority or control of what goes on??.

It’s my favourite city in the UK. Been there a lot for both work and pleasure. It is normal apart from the obvious undercurrent of sectarianism. Only person from Belfast that I’ve talked to about Blue Lights said it’s as realistic as any other cop show

The thing is. If you're the kind of person that paints roundabouts and puts flags up on lampposts - then you'd probably be surprised at quite how many people agree with Gary Neville.

I wonder if those people will focus their considerable ire on him now. Particularly now they've lost Gary!

Certainly was a disturbing tale, a lad with serious issues, as you say, thankfully locked up in time

We found that when we went a few years back, really enjoyed our short break there, folk were welcoming and full of fun.

Blue Lights is tremendous, right up with the best cop dramas of this decade. Just finished 3rd episode of S3, very good 👍

The normalising of Gary Neville is the most disheartening thing I’ve read on here in a long time. As close to depressing as I’ll feel.

Charlotte Church has great breasts,

Thought this might have been mentioned by now.

I too was guilty of liking him as a football pundit.

Obviously that's gone out of the window now.

I wonder, as a 50 year old white man, how he defines 'middle aged white men'. He didn't sing the national anthem when playing for England so we know where he stands. Yet another champagne socialist.

You clearly didn't understand what he said then. Quelle surprise.
