  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

The Assassin with Keeley Hawes. Looks promising.

Watched the Bonnie Blue documentary last night. The girls a marketing genius.

A genius at an abundance of things ending with 'ing'.

Just started that

Just finished ep 2 of 3 of second series of Karen Pirie. Not bad, one or two cop drama cliches in the plot but an alright Sunday night watch. Some nice locations on the Fife coast

Been watching Countdown - the US action series not the other one.

Like plenty of others I've seen with loads of action, car chases, explosions and Russian (Belorussian) villains etc. but OK when there's nowt else on. 6/10.

Watched Mixtape which is an easy watch for those with nostalgia for 80’s indie and fingering.

That's a fair old swing in monthly salary, must make it difficult to plan anything

To be fair, I make between £500 & £1,000,000 per month too. I guess most on here do.

Had never seen The Gone. Started watching it today. Looks OK - need to get further in.

Missus absolutely loves The Gilded Age. Not really my thing but the music for the opening credits is excellent and there are certainly some dry and sarcastic put downs delivered in it which raise a smile. Oh, and the lady of the house is a fine, buxom wench which helps.

Rosie Holt is about as funny as that Romesh bloke

I have The Assassin, Hostage and In Flight on my 'to watch' list, hopefully get started on them this week

Agreed, but I suspect you missed the point.

Bang up to date with Countdown now - not bad. A bit 'American hero' stuff but still not too bad a watch.

Missus and I decided to catch up on Ridley series 2. Mild stuff but one question. Who the fuck told Adrian Dunbar he could sing FFS? I think I'd rather listen to more remoaner rants. No, on second thoughts I wouldn't.

The Gone was pretty good if you can get over the anti Brit sentiment from the Maoris and the Irish. Binged both series. Looks like it's been left open for a third.

Enjoyed the Gone, thought the ending of the first one clever to leave up open for 2nd series, but disappointed with ending of the second as it was bit too contrived. Almost putting the idea of 3rd series was more important than the actual story.

Only watched 1 Ridley, filmed in Bolton so got a reference to Lostock in there, also filmed in Bradford so Allentown got a mention. As you say quite mild and the singing is just weird.

Have to admit Ani, the Bolton scenes get us every time. Le Mans Crescent, Mawdsley Street and others. Brings a tear to ones eye.

The reason we tolerated the so called 'singing'.

Agree with your synopsis of 'The Gone'.

I don't do social media unless you count this place. Too many outrage police sifting through every fucking thing to create controversy for my liking.

This is a case in point. My advice to this shit stirring tosspot would be to enjoy this series of Masterchef as it will likely be the last one to be enjoyed. The BBC strikes again. Fucked Top Gear. Fucked Masterchef.
