July 17, 20188 yr The conspiracy nut character was promising but facing a poor target in Saunders. Hints of Staines kept slipping into his accent too, I half expected him to add 'for real' at points. The liberal bellend bit reminded me of the Borat scene where he had dinner with a well-to-do group of (deep) Southerners - they (his hosts, in both scenarios) came across really well, polite and accepting in the face of ludicrous ideas and 'passive' provocation. The con-artist bit could've been sommat that Shirley Ghostman bloke or him out of Four Lions would've done years ago, or a reject from the ideas bin of 'Da Ali G Show' and again the gallery girl came across as really game, fun and open. The Israeli ex-commando though... Edited July 17, 20188 yr by Youri McAnespie

July 18, 20188 yr some american politicians are trying to get it off air apparently ha All the while giving SBC even more free publicity. The political opponents of those on the show have already been using it as ammo in campaigning for the upcoming elections.
July 18, 20188 yr So I've watched the Detectorists on Netflix, first 2 series. It's brilliant. Then, I find out the only place to watch series 3 is on Amazon. What the fucking fuck? In theory, there could come a time when an 8-series programme could be split across 8 different platforms. It's a fucking crime, that's what it is, a fucking crime. Twats.

July 18, 20188 yr Star Trek Discovery on Netfilx. Never liked ST, and I love sci-fi, but found these new films fairly watchable so gave it a go. Decent and quite dark ST is a fine example of integrated communities thriving - apart from the Clingons, they can get fcuked. Nuke em from orbit, it's the only way to be sure

July 20, 20188 yr Just finished the first series of Unforgotten on Netflix. Thought it was great. I can only seem to find series 2 on ITV hub. It's just a shame I can't tolerate adverts anymore Edited July 20, 20188 yr by deane koontz

July 20, 20188 yr I see Knightfall is screening on the History channel up there commencing some time this week. They are claiming "UK Premiere"? Is that right? If you haven't seen it, well worth a watch.

July 21, 20188 yr Based on your rec, guna give it a go. Bit gory and possibly over realistic in places mate but an excellent historical drama and an interesting update/refresher for those who hear the Islamic extremist over use of the Crusaders tag..
