he'll be fine with the reasonable, proportionate and necessary excuse, and quite right from that clip,

unlike the Ben Stokes case

Was thinking more is it worth minimum wage to get smacked by someone trying to nick something worth around a quid

I heard so, we watched the first episode of S1 the other day. My first impressions were it must get better than this, some pretty poor acting in it but we'll give it another whirl as a number of folk raved about it.

Aye, slow burner initially.  But very much worth it I found.

Dunno if I mentioned it previously but I really enjoyed The Handmaid’s Tale.

Polished off season 2 in a week.

Dark, strange and engrossing.

Season 2 was basically misery porn, the same plot repeated three times within the season, with one scene of rebellion/defiance every episode to give the feminist viewership some hope

Chanced on the re-runs of series one of The Sweeney on ITV4.

Remember now why I liked it so much. Besides the jaunty little fillies in mini's and knee high boots, some of the faces you see in there who went on to greater things are plentiful. Last night, Benny from Crossroads was in it as a young and intellectually challenged thug.

Completely un-PC for today's tastes so all the better.

"We're the Sweeney and we haven't had any dinner!". Beltin'.

Started the looming tower on amazon. Enjoyed the first episode, about the rise of al qaida and bin laded in the late 90’s and the build up to 9/11 seen from the perspective of the fbi and cia and their seemingly lack of cooperation with eachother

A few episodes into this now, enjoying it. Their version of a Manchester street made me laugh though.

I really enjoyed it. It’s strange as you obviously know what the programmes leading towards but for me personally I didn’t know the exact route to it so it kept me gripped still.

The boddingtons sign in the phone box made me laugh.
