FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

Was in training all day today and a couple of Celtic fans in there both saying how delighted they were that Kenny had gone - they had no idea I was earwigging or that I'm a Bolton fan.

Will try and grill them about him tomorrow.

Seeing how he gets on in L1 will be useful for Celtic, if he does well they may consider him good enough to play some League games and cup ties. Although the games v Rangers are arguably top end Championship standard, and Hearts are adding a bit of quality into the mix, L1 players hold their own week in week out amongst the rest.

Celtic's issue is the gulf in standard to Champions League, even in the qualifying rounds, and whether someone like Kenny could make an impression. They'll know more about him by May.

Kenny as got the incentive of trying to cement a World Cup place also . Anyone know which games he misses with the World Cup play off games ?

I wouldn’t bother pal, you’ll just hear more of their one-eyed, unintelligent bollocks. They’ll just delight in telling you how shit he is.

Similar to the Derby fans I know. They fucking hate CBT!

When I messaged them Saturday they were praying he’d carry on doing well so we’d take him off their hands.

As we know from the past, a players form and/or opinion from their previous side counts for little.

It’s what they do for us that counts. And when they pull that white shirt on it just works for some players.

That could be the case for our newbies. We have to believe they are the Frandsen’s, Blake’s, Walker’s, SKD’s, Mcateer’s from the past.

Ok cheers I suppose toal and Sheehan will cause it to be called off if the games are the same week

There are a number of sets of supporters whose opinions I have learned to ignore over the years. Celtic are one of them, very much in the same league as the rags. We should judge Kenny with our own eyes rather than through the eyes of those bumptious clowns.

I don't think they will.

They were just talking between themselves, a bit like we would at being happy someone like Nlundulu or Randall being offloaded.

I'm just keen to hear if they have anything positive to say about him.

If not I'll just watch that YouTube video again and then judge him on what he does for us.

I never listen to other fans I wait and see for myself,

Kenny has a lot of promise and I think can do well under SS. Does not have the best finishing characteristics but again I think over time that will be fixed here; Celtic's system does not really suit him anyway.

He also seems raring to go in his interview, I am excited about the kid.

I think it’s a good idea to listen to them if they have watched a player regular they can tell you if a player tends to hide or can’t be arsed when a club send a scout to a game they only see the same as a supporter .
I think Kenny willl be fine it’s league one Celtic fans will be more critical there looking for a higher standard Kenny might get to that level eventually

Sooner make my own decision once I see them play for us .

Our owners / board have always been clear that there's a balance between supporting ambition and responsible stewardship. No responsible steward would be lobbing £2m after Sam Nombe

Aye, thinking about it they did spaff a bit last season, notably on Randall but had just cashed in on Charles

But that just goes to show why you shouldn't get silly in January

I look forward to you reporting back then 😁

Scott Arfield, Big Dan and Declan John imply it really is nt. (3 weeks ago would have added Dalby to that list).

Having said that Celtic usually do OK against Premier League clubs

You forgot about Etete now plying his trade at St Mirren as well.

We signed Arfield from the Championship so not really a fair comparison, and he’s now struggling to get a game in a pretty dreadful Livingston team.

Despite winning a pot, St Mirren are sinking like a stone so not exactly responding for N’Lundulu or John, though I’m having a hatewatch just now against Hearts and they’ve played well first half.

Made his debut last week. Dragged off at half time and been dropped tonight. It’s a stain on our club’s history that he managed 5 appearances.

More about what Arfield did after he left, he scored 445 goals in 7 games.

Our fans watch our players regularly but there's plenty of opinions that are complete bollocks.

And if we're basing it on social media, they're all shit.

(unless, of course, they've got a long term injury in which case they get exponentially better with the time out)

He came on after 78 minutes to partner Dan.

You couldn't make it up.

That was in the Championship so not really useful comparison if we’re talking EFL League One v Scots Prem

As I’ve posted on here, it’s quite a tough concentration because of the different sizes of each division (which are naturally relevant to the population differences). The bottom of each division facing each other would make your eyes bleed, but the top sides would be pretty evenly matched.

Played 56 times in the championship for Cardiff, explain that!

More reason to just make up our mind on players, when we sign players its irrelevant what their CV says in terms of appearances and divisions.  If they've scored 20 goals a season for 4 years running yes that's evidence enough, but I'd never take mere appearances as proof of ability.  We only have to refer to some of the players who've played plenty games for us over the years to show it only needs the misjudgement of one person to boost your CV.

Stop using facts to make your point.

Did they not all start speaking Gaelic as soon as you were in earshot?
