Players will always come and go. We'll always use the loan market.

This was our contracted squad that got us out of League 2...

To suggest the current squad wouldn't/couldn't do likewise is ridiculous.

Looks like the young lad Luca Stephenson from Liverpool is going to sign for us, don't know anything about him mind.

He was discussed on here a couple of days ago.

Signed from Sunderland's Academy to Liverpool for £500k as a 15yr old.
30-odd games for Barrow
60-odd games in the SPL and still only 22

Sluffy read that top line.....The one you never said

You still don't understand.

I'm NOT implying you hate Evatt as a PERSON but what he REPRESENTS to you - namely his reluctance/inability to change his views on 'Evattball' and how he continued to send out his players in the way that they did under him and his now failed system.

I even spelled it out to you that this occurred from him reaching what I described as his 'glass ceiling'.

You have bemoaned on here, certainly over the last season as to how bad (almost the whole of) Evatt's squad was and how - in your opinion - the sooner we get rid of them, the better we would be.

I simply tried to explain to you (or anyone else who thought that way) that it wasn't Evatt's signings that were bad (as per your belief was/still is?) but how you played them - and gave the example of a failing united squad under Amorim, yet the same players have just finished third in the PL and qualified for the Champions League, under Carrick - ie the players were never the problem, the system they played to was.

I would not have thought I needed to define the phrase 'hatred for Evatt' even once, as the structure of my original post clearly showed I wasn't talking about any PERSONAL hatred of the man or team but how your view of his failure from reaching his glass ceiling has biased you against his signings from that point on.

Even allowing for you to get the wrong end of the stick (as people sometimes do), I've now explained myself to you for the third time and hopefully the last?

Gonk,  you were saying.  Ffs

Just read that Stephenson is mainly used as a right wing back but is very versatile and can play in midfield too, sounds promising.

Like this type of signing a lot, Stephenson and Watson are low risk, high reward moves.

Probably a combination of players reacting better to a different kind of management style and IE's limitations. Despite this, there's a reason 20 players were brought in

The thing is, I have noticed both Masi and Sluffy like to talk in absolutes. So it could be a long war of attrition here.

He might well be a cock lusty but to be fair to him he does his homework and his posts are usually based on facts. Whether you like, agree with or dispute those facts as I often do on Nuts is your choice but calling for people to be banned because you don’t agree with them isn’t very fair so if you don’t like his posts just don’t read them. I regularly do that when I see how long they are. 😁

You know I have history with the clown and his posts are based on selected facts taken out of context which he puts a spin on to big himself up. For example his first act when he got back was to dig out an old question I asked about Dalby shortly after he arrived when he was playing really badly if you remember - and I was wondering whether we needed to change our style of play to get the best out of him? Schumacher duly did and Dalby grew into the role so it was all good.
Dickhead reframed that as a poor “analysis” of the player Dalby became  - as relevant as saying Messi was crap when he was 2 or had a broken leg.
Within a couple of days he has “corrected” several people on here and his misguided “lectures” started to flow - and we both know that will ramp up when he gets on to the subject of finances which he claims to be an expert in. It will be no time before he moves on to trying to position himself as the font of all knowledge and argue with everyone (unless they are folk he wants to suck up to) - which is why he drives people away from forums (I think his own once lively forum is down to about 3 people who only post occasionally) and why I’ve already blocked him on here.

It’s not so much about me disagreeing with him (most do) or even his incessant condescending drivel and intolerance of opinions that differ from his own - as about the fact that he will inevitably and intentionally wind up so many posters and discourage open discussion and variety of opinion that the site will start losing members and that cancer needs to be cut out before it spreads.

Thomason aside not technically a Evatt signing who has kicked on from the 100 or so players Evatt signed?

Loan signings aside????

SS obviously has the same thoughts as only a handful will start next season here.SS thought he was coming into a top end lge1 squad on his first day. By May he knew what was needed and he has been ruthless. And no players like Thomason, Charles, Doyle, Santos, Sheehan, Toal, Lee have been quality Evatt signings

Read my original post - it is all in there.

Look people are getting pissed off with us (me in particular) and in this case it is all down to YOU not comprehending what I said, then making such an issue out of it.

I explained everything I needed to in my very first post yet here we are me replying TO YOU AGAIN for at least the FORTH TIME because you either don't understand what I said, or can't accept it.

Best for everyone if we move on I think, don't you?

No problem at all moving on

Part of the reason I don't like them is that they posted over and over during the financial difficulties and, if I recall correctly, it was mostly bollocks. I'm not someone that is asking for them to be banned but they're such a monumental bellend when interacting with other posters and then they play the victim, if that stopped the agro would stop but they love to cause problems. If you meet an arsehole, you met an arsehole; If you meet arseholes all day, you're the arsehole.

That was nearly SEVEN YEARS AGO - and fwiw I was quoting about the application of Company Law - it might well be boring to you but it certainly wasn't bollocks in respect of the legal position we were in at the time.

If you don't like me fine, just put me on ignore but it really is time for you and others holding grudges against me (stemming from just an internet forum for Gods Sake!) to move on.

I'm not here to cause any problems, the problems come mainly from people with grudges against me dating back years like you.

It really is about time to forgive and forget don't you think?

You were a bellend then, you're a bellend now.

Good luck with that.

Never does, never did and never will.

I might well be a bell end but I wasn't wrong in what I was saying in respect of Company Law at the time and seven years holding a grudge says more about you than me I would suggest.

It's time to move on, just put me on ignore as others have if you don't like me, that's what it is there for.

I come in peace not for never ending arguments - haven't you realised yet that Masi has more or less admitted to deliberately winding me up to prolong his 'argument' with me that you seem to solely be blaming me for causing?

It always takes two to Tango you know.
