June 14Jun 14 some I typed and some I found on transfer net injuries, and some from other sites, I'm not sure what your point is? The lad has had the same injuries near enough for the last couple of years, would you want to risk money on him?

Certainly not worth challenging without any evidence to the contrary.I'm sure any relevant facts are available to our procurement team for any player they choose to look at.

The answer to everybody's striking problems without actually being that good.

June 15Jun 15 Well according to local news there has been interest from a Championship club for Sam so it may or may not be us plus from some top sides in L1. He most certainly won’t still be at Rotherham come August but wherever he goes he’s still a good player if he can keep fit and at 27 a good buy for someone.
June 15Jun 15 Not seen any Championship footy for years, since we dropped out of it. Is it less or more physical than EFL1?I assume Refs are better in this league and strikers get more protection from the stuff that defenders get away with in EFL1, so maybe that will have an effect on the names we are chasing this summer, rather than the ones of previous years. But just because we didn't and won't sign any of them, doesn't mean they aren't any good. At the time we were linked with Stockton we signed Vic for half a mil. And followed it up with signing Dan for £300k. If we'd signed Nombe and Stockton instead of those 2 we might have been in the championship earlier, they might not be world beaters but we paid money for worse.

Put another way, if we could come up against him playing for another team in the championship I'd settle for that, because I'm expecting to come up against better. We need a proper championship striker because everyone else will have one.

Better chance to play good football. My take is I expect Sheehan for example to go up another notch at this level

June 15Jun 15 The style of play will be of a higher quality but I've alwaus thought one of the major differences is that the players are noticably bigger, stronger and quicker

June 15Jun 15 Alongside the obvious increase in quality, particularly against the top 5 or 6 sides we’ll come up against the biggest task for us will be delivering better performances week in week out. If you’re having an off day you could be sat there after 30 mins at home in a game you expected / hoped to win and be 2 or 3 down. We will obviously sign better players to compete but it’s also about the players delivering 7s and 8s out of 10 every week
June 15Jun 15 The difference as you move up the levels is that more players produce ‘good stuff’ on a more regular basis and at a faster pace. There will be a few players that are at a higher level, like ACD in League 1. But there will also be a lot of teams full of players that are all technically very capable and well managed/organised. It is likely most weeks it will be a battle.Having said that we have the basis of a solid team and a few incomings should make us at least competitive.
