No i said i can practically name 8/9 players that will start against Preston and they mainly were the players you mentioned. Hopefully that will be reduced come the 1st Sep.....Out of those ten players i named can you see any of them starting more than ten games because if you can it is going to be one long hard winter. And some of those players i named can go on and have a great career at Bolton but they are not ready for the Championship this season

I find it remarkable that some of these young players, who haven't yet played a game (or very few) are deemed not good enough.

They might not be, and in the fullness if time they may be moved on.

Without being able to see their development within the club, it is total folly to automatically dismiss them. Quite disrespectful too.

That's 5 first teamers to be replaced. The general consensus is we need about 4 players as things stand, we don't have long to sign another 9 of the required standard! And that would be 15 new signings to be bedded into the first team squad.

McAtee, Simons, Toal, Christie and obviously Dong are going nowhere in August.

I thought 10-12 players was excessive, so I pulled you up.

You went on to make things up:

• I’ve not said we have brought in our main targets this season.

Maybe, maybe not, it’s not clear cut at the moment.

Simons could very well start against Preston, so there’s no way he’s going anywhere in the near future.

I am not saying they are going anywhere but i am saying those five are not Championship standard. McAtee i would rather keep if we dont get a fee. 2o mins from the bench. Toal regressed last season lost a yard not Championship Standard Simons may get a start against Preston but only until Erhahon returns. Christie again another who you will get 20 from the bench maximum. Dong certainly not ready for the Championship for numerous reasons.

Those players are certainly no better than the players we released.....They are 5 squad members at best

… Not if the 5/6 replacements are of the quality we hope they are going to be.

The defence and midfield recruitment isn’t far off being done - maybe another midfielder (hopefully a quality 10) and a CB.

Then it’s all about the forwards and wide players we bring in.

I’ve still not worked you out well enough to know whether this is what you want to hear or not.

But if you choose to see it, I’m actually in agreement (as you are with me 😊) with a lot of the stuff you subsequently come out with after your initial controversial claim.

That’s all I was picking you up on.

Correct...Inwood i believe has a big future but he needs league football at the same time.

Our three senior centre backs are very injury prone [Toal, Foirino and Davies] Would be looking to move Toal on and add two more Centre backs which would allow Inwood and Temple to move on.

If we do not move Toal on and bring no other centre backs in those three Will be injured at some point before Christmas and we will be throwing Inwood and Temple in when they are not ready.

Barmpots on here are saying get rid of nobody and bring 4/5 in. Those 4/5 are going to have to be special for us to survive

I know we have our concerns, but this doom is so unnecessary.

Time to go for signings and outs, but whatever happens, we have to be positive.

I think my biggest concern is we have quite a favorable fixture list to start the season and it is worrying that any new signings from this point aren't going to be at all up to speed in time for some of these "easier" games to get us off to a good start.

It might well be that some of our bigger or better signings won't be made until right up to the deadline as players become available, but that would lead to them immediately having to face Millwall away and then West Ham at home. It's certainly not ideal.
