To be fair Dong has played two friendlies at grounds where there’s no space at Oldham and Fleetwood. ACD struggled at Burton and Stevenage

I know it baffles me some people write players off way too early like Dong who is young doesn’t speak English ffs give him time to settle in .

Expect to be disappointed (which I think is your status equilibrium) because Toal, Simons, Dong and very likely Christie are going nowhere IMO.

Not sure SS sees Dong as a first team player as he has said we need more wingers in as we only have Gale as a winger in the building. He may be looking at how Dong settles, does he learn English. Dong needs to learn how Bolton and Schumacher play he will need to learn systems.

That wont be easy when SS and Dong cannot communicate on the pitch.......Not writing him off but he wont be ready for this season. I suspect he is spending as much time learning English as being on the training ground. Dave Watson is another i think may take 12 months to settle in, but he will only improve and again i see him more on the bench than starting.

The squad needs magic now, not fillers, not slight improvements, we were way off top, this squad looks very average, but most the signings are unknows so it's not all meh, a bit of mystery, but nothing stands out, that can change.

I knew i should not have bit by naming those that i think will be sold/loaned etc.

Unlike you i think we have not brought our main targets in this season. If we was out of the running for Kenny and ACD we would have brought in our second options but we have not.

I can also see up bringing at least one more centre half rumoured to be the Korean lad

Our second winger perhaps could be the lad from Liverpool and i expect we will end up with someone that as yet we have not been linked with again as a forward. Not ruling out another Keeper before 1ST Sep. If we get most if not all our targets it will be those four not me that will be dissapointed. You just do not seem to get how a transfer window works.......Those four players will not start against Preston

I’ve been pretty consistent in saying we are short of championship quality, especially up front and wide.

No he has been bought for the future, will be on the bench etc. He will get physically stronger, fitter and buy into the way SS sets his team up. Every transfer is not about now.....We did not pay a fee for him and we were getting him even if we stayed in league one. This time next season we could see a 20/30 % improvement in both Dong and Watson. We splashed 6 figures out on Temple knowing he was one for the future these two are the same

Yet you clamour for players who simply are not good enough to start. Temple cost 6 figures speaks English and is Physically probably the strongest in the squad.....Yet he was nowhere to be seen from January to the seasons end because he was very raw and will need a season in lge2 to get him anywhere near the first team
