We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Feel like there’s not a huge amount of glory winning with Bayern unless it’s the champions league, same for psg

at least in Spain there’s 2 or 3 teams challenging every season

Dortmund should’ve won it in the last season but 10 titles in a row for Bayern now

Disagree with that. A trophy is a trophy. Good fist at CL glory. Can come back in a couple of years. Fantastic city to live and work in with a nice climate. Think he’d be mental to knock it back

£250k upfront with a 25% sell on fee. Maybe a bit extra for appearances/promotion to the prem seems about right to me

I’d be disappointed in that. Out of all our CM’s we currently own I expect him to finish the highest. Could see him being better in champ

I've always liked Thomason.

Always wants the ball, always on the move, always trying to find space, he's brave in that respect,  which is a good thing.

Unless it"s an offer we can't  refuse, i'd keep Thomasson. Despite his limitations, not least being painfully one footed, he's the most physical of our midfield options, clearly is well liked, has a great attitude & is willing to learn & improve himself, & also isn't a bad player as shown by his pass of the match on Saturday.

I've revised my opinion of Sheehan who I thought was a bit lightweight last season, & would now have him well ahead of Morley who needs to up his game.

My midfield 3 would be Dempsey & Sheehan with either Maghola (when  fit )or Thomasson.

Bllx. They sell their (injured) 19yr old wunderkind for £25m, they feel our 22yr old is a potential replacement. He has 2 full seasons on contract. We should, as a minimum, take them for 25% of that, plus add ons.

Hey, there's plenty of cowards in football who don't.

Might as well gift wrap the lad as well , prefer to keep him unless someone offers over 1 mill.

And you're just salty because he's proved you wrong.

George has improved every year and could get better even though he's still got the occasional mistake in him, but we shouldn't consider letting him go on the cheap.

It would be great to hear news about incoming but I suspect we've got to the point where we can be picky and maybe that means we'll only do a deal if it's a good 'un - possibly someone from abroad after all this chat from Evatt and Markham about the opportunities and scouting since the rule change.

Never understood the acceptable value bit. When we used to sell for £4m we never reinvested fully. As a fan I’d rather keep players. I understand we have to sell but that’s Sharon’s problem. If we had a million for Thomason we wouldn’t spend a mill the week after etc.

Aye, when we're getting pasted, I always stay to the end mainly because i'm a superfan obvs, but also to see which players keep fighting to the end & which ones hide or feign injury as plenty do.......i agree that Thomason is the sort that would keep going.

Fwiw, Kevin Nolan was the best for keeping going when all seemed lost.

Course he has 🙄

He's still here

You'd have fucked him off years ago.

I would have sent him on loan, rather than have him sit on the bench. (As I posted at the time)

You've said a lot worse than that about him.

Agree.

It's easy to be seen making mistakes when you're prepared to show for it and try to use it. I genuinely believe he prefers to play at a higher tempo and tries to get the team going, doesn't always work, but hey ho he isn't playing in the prem.

Why am I?

I said he wasn’t good enough to start often at a club who want promotion.

I have said he has improved.

I still do not think he is good enough to start week in, week out, at a club who will be promoted.

You are more than welcome to use the search facilty thats provided 👍

I'm not going searching but you've said he belongs in none league footy

It’s non-league football and that was a few years ago, when it would have done him some good to play more often.

I wonder why Ian Evatt doesn’t rate him 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm tempted to give you a clown emoji, just admit you were wrong about the lad.
