Bristol live reporting Bristol City considering Thomason is their midfielder Scott goes to Bournemouth.

Won't happen though because Thomason is shite apparently.

We can finally benefit from the nonsense of this modern market.

Quote them £2.5m and let them negotiate down, anything over a mil snap their hand off and go get a lad from League 2 for a quarter of it.

Rinse and repeat.

Personally I think Thomason will be very restricted to certain types of games and won’t feature that much for us (starting 11)

playing 3 CBs we don’t need that type of player we need more urgency and creativity which the current starters offer

Make some money move him on for me

It's a bizarre rumour. I've no idea why a Championship club would be considering a move for him.  It's not like he's been outstanding at L1 level.

He's an absolute bellend if he stays.

Of the prem teams

City - have Harland

Arsenal - absolutely no chance

Chelsea - highly unlikely

Man Utd - maybe

But I think he wants to protect his legacy as a spurs legend so it was always going to be abroad

Madrid want MBappe and PSG are trying to buy more younger and French based players

reckon he'd have gone to Utd had they bid and it was accepted

anyway

I hope Kane stays and fucks Levy over by leaving on a free next season, and thus getting revenge for Levy not selling him to Man City

Seems like they've agreed on a fee of £25m with Bournemouth, who admitted his knee injury is worse than they originally thought and he'll need a period of rehabilitation

Madness

But now we know they have £25m in their pocket...

I know it was only Barrow but he ran the game on Tuesday. With no fucker having turned up you could hear him all game directing the traffic. Future captain material.

I'd definitely have him in ahead of Sheehan not a slight on Sheehan just think he offers something different. Of those at the club I'd put Sheehan as the odd man out.

Exactly.   And any club will rinse them for what they can.

Never liked this lot since the salad bar !

Thomason has improved every year he's been with us and at his young age there'll be further improvement to come. The lad has clearly got a great attitude. By the time he's 25 I could see him being a very good midfielder.

If we do sell, given his potential, we ought to be expecting a seven figure fee with a percentage of any future fee if Bristol City sell him.

I actually hope we keep him. But if he goes its an endorsement of a good business model and we should reinvest a sensible proportion of the cash in to quickky replacing him.

GT is currently our longest serving player.

Only one to pre-date Evatt, I think.

THIS

He’ll sign a 2 year contract extension at Spurs no doubt.

If we get a 7 figure fee for Thomasson it'll be even better then getting 6 million for Gary madine. No way we are getting that lol.

I know it’s all quiet on the transfer front but maybe separate threads for BWFC/other transfer gossip? This used to be one of the go-to BW threads, it’s starting to lose something with all the talk of other teams.

Its what the todays games thread is for.

Problem is that the Toughsheet no longer leaks like a sieve, so we're just left with the odd snippet here and there.  Very few ITK.  Gotta to have something to talk about.

I disagree.

Last season, the better teams stopped the 3 from Saturday from doing what they do best. In particular Sheehan, who struggled against the physicality.

Sometimes pragmatism will come into play, and we may well use a more physical midfield, even at the expense of a bit of Sheehan's footballing ability.

Of course if he goes to Bristol City then he can't!

Bit harsh, can go to any club he wants next season, will have loads more choice and can maybe go to a stronger PL side, win a trophy and break Shearer’s record

Genuinely have no clue what sort of fee Thomason would command. Anything over 500k would surprise me.

I rate him more than others do but at the same time, I’d have though Morley would be one to be targeted over Thomason

Sheehan was the best player on the pitch Saturday

If Dapo is a benchmark then I'd be amazed if we got more than 500k for a bit part player

Don't mind Thomasson at all but if he was worth £1m plus he'd have played a lot more for us by now

I'd rather keep him then sell him for less than 500k

But if Bristol City want to spaff some of the £25m they've just received on him then they can go for it

Aye maybe.

I'd be off like a shot.

Fair enough it’s about opinions

just don’t see him playing a big part tbh, I think maghoma will play before him

Feel like there’s not a huge amount of glory winning with Bayern unless it’s the champions league, same for psg

at least in Spain there’s 2 or 3 teams challenging every season

Dortmund should’ve won it in the last season but 10 titles in a row for Bayern now
