Excited to see how he fits in. Its almost as if we have a coaching and recruitment team that analyse every single aspect of our play and pinpoint exaclty what we need. Then in accordance to the clubs sustainability and options available set about recruiting players to address those needs. Almost
August 1, 20233 yr Good luck to him. @radcliffe whitejust booked his train tickets for Cambridge away
August 1, 20233 yr Hopefully he can do what Toal did, start in the B team and make an impression and become a 1st team staple by the end of the season.

He’ll either get himself up to a lower league level and he’ll move on or he fulfils his early potential breaking into our first 11 and getting to L1/Championship level.

August 1, 20233 yr It's a good test of Matheson's character, going from a million pound player to our B team, but it can be done as Connell has shown, coming back after going to a level too high too soon. & good luck to Kachunga, always put the effort in & not good enough but not as poor as some made out.
August 1, 20233 yr It would be interesting to know why players end up playing for a B team at a L1 club rather than a first team further down the pyramid eg National League? Eg Sithole has nothing to put on his CV from his time here since leaving Gillingham but if he'd played for a non league team at least he'd have something to show for it at a recognised level. I'm struggling to "get" the B team, even from the point of view that they hardly play. I've just looked at their fixtures and I think its 14 in the entire season. The best players might get 2 or 3 sub appearances in a cup comp for the 1st team, but nobody outside the club is going to take much notice of them unless they are go on loan and that always seems to be at a very low level. Not knocking it, good luck to them all, I just find it strange.
August 1, 20233 yr https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66364178 No Bradley in this list. I’m taking that as concrete proof he’s coming back 💯

Still got Charles. I'm hoping we don't have enough to prompt postponements...

Obviously we’re a bit stuck with the stupid rules they have about fielding players but might be able to shoe horn one or two of them in and a couple on the bench

I’m fairly convinced he was off though so long term this may have oddly worked in our favour providing he comes back strong.

Fair play to the lad for earning it.
