He would have the opportunity to go anywhere then though. That's the gamble i suppose, pay a bit now and get his signature, and potential for money if resold. Pay for a loan and risk not getting him permanently, unless we're not that bothered.

See what you mean but that's for bolton and Ameobi to sort out and nowt to do with Newcastle (unless they wanted him to sign a new contract)

As he's under contract in England we can't sign an agreement til the end of the season, if he was employed by a foreign club we could sign him up
