If it’s true I’d expect that KA got someone better lined up as he’s no fool and to sell without replacement would mean relegation.

Let's hope so but Madine is in the form of his life at present.

It will be a body blow to lose him.

It would only be a location move, not much between both clubs, both have off field problems and could be playing in league one next season

There isn't a replacement. Certainly not a better one based on his current form. Not without spending a fortune.

He's doing a pretty good job of giving us a chance of staying up. He's better than owt Sunderland have.

I mean yes. But it depends on what the "right money" is. We know that if we sell Madine we're down. So how much does it take for Ken to write off the extra Championship TV money plus at least a year in League One keeping the club afloat?

 

Madine is a bit unique in that replacing a striker who can play up front on his own and is scoring goals is going to be impossible for us. 

 

Vela is definitely a loss but equally I think like with Clough we could end up a better team with a different type of player. 

Can't see it being Sunderland. A friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Sunderland and says they are well fooked.

 

Similar position to us when we came down - pulled the plug on spending, loads of players on massive contracts who do not want to play for them now and who can't be easily off loaded.

I suspect Sunderland were interested when it looked like we'd be bottom and adrift and Ken might have sold him for a couple of million. As it stands now, I can't see Sunderland affording him. Ken isn't stupid enough to sell our best player and top scorer to a relegation rival.
