Dervite can only be about money.

Why would we let our CH cover go just to get a replacement in immediately ?

Derik would be more useful than Karacan as midfield/defensive cover IMO.

However, since none of the three mentioned are playing it would not be surprising if they moved on.

Never understood why we gave Dervite another contract. Osede has generally flattered to deceive and has been a waste of money.

Isn't pratley out of contract end of season? If so we may indeed need another midfielder in.

 

No problems with letting them three go- quite like osede, but he doesn't seem to be parkys type of player, so let him go.

To me. Derik is what used to be termed a utility player - great to have as a sub as can cover several different positions, but in the age where we nor have 7 subs, no longer a necessity

And out of all the time he has been with us he had one consistent spell at league one level. Been better putting what little money we had into someone else.

We couldn't afford better than Dervite last Summer, we were potless.

At the time West Ham had not confirmed that Burke was definitely coming on loan.

Dervite is not a bad reserve IMO.

Must admit KAs comments made me smile a bit. Box to box midfielders and a strikers who can run at teams and score goals. Doesn't want much but then again he does have contacts!

he's probably a nice lad but hes not big enough to play centre back and hes not strong/energetic enough or a good enough footballer to play midfield

He is also one of our highest earners

derik plays a nice pass from time to time when playing in midfield

and every chance hes on appearance bonuses, i guess

i think hes got a decent pass in him, but as his interview showed (someone put a link on here iirc) he prefers a more passing type game- not surprising as he was schooled at RM. dont think he can handle the physicality.

 

wouldnt surprise me to see him go back abroad.

Maybe I’m a bit harsh in making my mind up about Derik within about 20 minutes of his debut at Morecambe, but he’s done fuck all to change it. He only played in midfield because he was such a horror show at the back. Maybe that’s where people see the similarity with Campo, but in reality Campo did the business for Real, not dick about in their third team then kid on like he’d been playing in the Champions League.

Not arsed about Derik tbh, he's supposed to be on about 10K a week and has little chance of playing, might as well try and get shut now and put his wages towards a striker etc.

Derik never got a good run in the side in the same position. will probably go back to Spain to a lower La Liga team. 

Im getting a little excited about the club again we seem to be going in the right direction and looking forward to see who we’re going to sign in January.
