We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Wilbrahamovich scored the winning goal for the u123s on Monday.

That squad scored 1 goal in the opening 6 matches, but since then have scored 24 in the next 8, winning the last 6 in succession.

Connor Hall had 2 hat tricks last month.

i went to the game where hall got hos first hatrick. hull where beyond awful. they where all over the place, and hall bullied the,

i also went on monday where wilbrah made hall look like a pub player, and very poor one at that. maybe hall was having an off day but he was not good.

now i like what ive seen of hall (in that hull game at least), and think he could have a decent future, but no way is he ready for the first team

Can Hall kick it?

Or is he like Little who can’t?

County Durham.

Never actually been into sunlun centre, though do fancy the glass museum.

Funnily enough, one of the dogs had a nocturnal projectile anal emission, whilst up there recently.

Finished up at a launderette in spennymoor; on an estate which I'm sure frequently features on police interceptors- now you're right, if I stayed there any length of time he would hate me forever.

We've been up there a few time, usually stay on the coast north of Hartlepool.

Nice area tbf.

Just having a laugh, lads, there are some lovely places up there.

If we didn't replace him parky'd have to change his tactics.

A front line of ALF and Armstrong isn't going to win many headers.

And Wilbrahamavic is older than Gandalf

He is older than Casino

Well maybe not; Casinos grandson maybe

I know. Did meet some Hartlepudlians this time though. Salt of the earth but not quite right in the head! ☺

See the Bolton News is running another Vela story. can only assume he is being touted about. If he has to go to help finances then so be it as far as I'm concerned.

Don't honestly know what his value would be though. In xs of £1m?

The story is based on a tweet from Alan Nixon from yesterday.

Iles has since tweeted himself this morning that the club has denied the story - no bids received, no-one being touted for sale.

I'm not sure who would want him, as for a value, given our situation, probably only a couple of million, but if that keeps us afloat, then so be it. Sadly.

Would be sad to see him go, but like most on here, understand if he has too.

The idiots on twitter will be fumin though

2 million and he will be gone.

2 million and he will be gone.

That would be a decent fee.

Who is the comparison point for vela?

Will Hughes?

“If grant Hanley can go for x million we should be getting double for vela etc etc”

Will Hughes miles ahead of Vela but I’ll give you Hanley even though he’s an international..

Vela was decent going beyond the strikers in league one and held up right back in a dog shit champs team - other than energy what does he bring to the party?

Imo, without the goals it looked like he had added, not much

But things did get bet better with him, ameobi and Henry chucked in the mix

I think selling him for 2 million would ultimately improve us

Who is Christ's name would spend £2 million on josh vela?

I reckon we can sneak more than £2m if there’s as many interested as the papers allege - I’m sticking my neck out at £2.75m rising to £4m with our favourite mystery add ons

What did Hanley go for was it 5 million? Seems to be folk out there who pay over the odds so you never know.

With better players, he'd look better

I rate him

Turner out on loan to NPL

And spooners lad signs permanent

A kid we were still pretending could have a career with us 6 months back

And folk wonder when I have a moan about our youth set up still having too much who you know, going on

Perry is perhaps an odd one, not that I've ever seen him play

Me too.

Sadly we are a sitting target and white rightly we won't be offered market value for his services due to our current predicaments.

More worryingly is he could be the last saleable asset, which may have bigger ramifications going forward

Edited by tomski

It would be a shame to see him go because he came through the youth - but for me - he's much more easily replaceable than either Clough or Holding.

Mainly with Josh Vela you'd be buying workrate.

If we get anything upward of 2 million for him I'd be pleasantly surprised. Will Hughes is twice the player JV will ever be.
