Can't see any forward being overly impressed by the pointless backwards and sidewards, progressive football, if we end up losing the ball.

It's OK trying to open a team up, but the play is sluggish, nervous, inaccurate and typical of a team bereft of confidence.

Think you’re being generous to Collins, there. Completely anonymous again yesterday. I know there’s been plenty of mentions on here (me included) about him being picked because he’s capable of probably ‘a moment’, but it’s getting to be a bit of a stretch now when he’s going through runs of games without contributing anything at all.

I said in another thread that it’s fine to have a moments player like Collins when the rest of the team are digging in. But we’ve too many “moments” shithouses and weak minded players.

Collins sprinted twice against Lincoln-  and this was noticed,   speaks volumes.  This lad really gets my fakin goat,   the falling over the ball with an open net is my first vision when I hear his name

I would say the amount he spent is a couple of million more we probably paid more for the likes of sadlier , Bako , comley , isgrove , katchunga bod , John , aimson ect . then we got back for them when they left . Dapo would be the only money maker may be a few quid on sarc and irdale who I think we signed when is contract run out

Was like playing with 10 men yesterday.

It's him in a nutshell. Scored a couple of goals recently so he must play every minute, but while we wait for these 'moments' we're getting overrun everywhere else. He'd have to be offering Ronaldo-level effectiveness in front of goal to offset him standing around doing toss all for the rest of the game.

Not good enough. And we've got two of them!

But he will score, and set them up.

Luxury player as he'll do little else if he's not getting the service. Our top scorer anyway, so he needs to be playing.

I’m just looking at hopefully a few out going’s with what’s left in the window some money recouped for the next manager coming in to re build in the summer .
I wouldn’t be letting evatt bring any one in for a fee a couple of loan signings till the end of the season .

If we're getting rid at the end of the season, then the players should be here, unless they want out.

Let the new man decide who he would like to keep.

Bad enough spending money now, if the manager is likely to go (as he should), but letting him then bugger around with it some more makes it worse.

I understand backing him if they're keeping him, and generally agree, but they must now be able to see we are not achieving our goal, so they must also be looking at the future, and next season.

That's why I can't understand him continuing in what seems an untenable position.

I really wouldn't assume that

Stat padding in the Sherpa Van Trophy aside, Dion is our top scorer.

Collins ranks 17th for goals and 28th for goals + assists (Dion is 12th for both).

I'd suggest being the 28th most effective attacker in League 1 is piss poor for someone who offers nothing else.

He is stubborn enough To  see it through till we can’t go up but beyond that it can’t happen unless we have financial backers who can fund the club with a massive drop off of season tickets and put up with a toxic atmosphere

I think we do have that, to be fair

Collins has 12 goals 3 assists

Charles has 8 goals 3 assists.

Can make facts reflect what you want but Collins has scored more this season..

I’m not sure we have those resources but let’s say we do . As a backer do you pump millions of your own money in to offset poor season ticket sales to keep in a under performing  manager doesn’t make much sense

Here are your facts...

When goals against Barrow and Fleetwood reserves get us where we need to be, I'll start caring about those too.

Collins has been dreadfully poor this season, you're dead right. Some of his goals definitely paint a glossier picture than he deserves. His work rate and desire are so poor.

His strike partner has been worse. Also worth noting that Dan Nlundulu has been statistically better than McAtee this season. One for the boo boys to debate.

Don't know how true this is but I've just read that FFP rules are changing next season for league 1&2

Can anyone shed any light on this

Perhaps post a link to the thing you read?

I'm not.

Simply going off the statement and the need to fulfill the aim.

Barring a miracle we're not doing that.

Like most, I believe that they know that, and that's why I'm confused about not making the change now.

Especially given the players seem to have given up on him.

I think they decided to give him the window much of the work for the Randall deal would have been in the pipe line for a while . .But Saturday and is comments might change that and the fans turning nasty . prior to Saturday they might of thought the players haven’t given up on him . But if they have downed tools they need to be ditched as well .
If not play for the manger play for yourself , family the travelling fans , the shirt , your future whatever . Randall downing tools at Peterborough isn’t a good look also

Someone in here (can’t remember who, apologies) said Collins does enough to make you think he’s important when he’s not and in fact he’s probably hindering the team. Or to that extent. Thought it was spot on.

When we signed him he didn’t really strike as a player we needed. We needed someone to score goals but not from the position he is.

Looking at the top few they’ve all got their goals and assists with more starts and minutes on the pitch.

Dion has only started 15 out of his 24 appearances.

I think there’s unrest with Dion and Evatt (and possibly others within the club), which will mean, unless there’s a change in circumstances, those stats are not going to increase while he’s wearing BWFC colours unfortunately.

I think it's the opposite to be honest, and they're more like best pals (like he was with Sarcevic until he had a strop). I suspect Evatt runs it like a boys club. They get an easy ride and get away with murder in training, and Evatt isn't around enough to set them straight - and when he is around he wants to be one of them. It's fucking ridiculous that he's been here nearly 5 years and still commutes from Chesterfield.
