We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

It's concerning that when we sell our better players, we spend that money, plus some on inferior footballers

There HAS to be someone else coming in then surely?

Looking to a bench when we need a goal and only seeing Vic sat there fills me with abject horror!

I'm told Dan is being recalled

He's not that good, he won't be tearing anyone a new one.  I'm reading about a different player to the one I've watched last couple of years (admittedly I take more notice of home games).

He's a very good L1 striker imo. On his day, an absolute pest to defenders and a good goalscorer.  I do get the impression that he's not the brightest of lads and like the team, his form has dipped alarmingly this season.  If 750k is true, then we've been proper had over. I'd have wanted double that.

Not bothered and bothered at the same time.

not bothered down to the sitters, bothered for the goals he has scored, think he’s been a tad hard done too with being subbed when he starts and only getting 20mins when he does come on however if his attitude isn’t right time to move on.

think everyone’s emotions are high at minute anyway for rational thinking, and with a lot of angst at the manager only fuels things.

tough one

He's got to be worth atleast a Gary Madine.

Is £750k confirmed and how long is there left on his contract with us?

Given the sums we’ve paid recently for Schon, Dan, McAtee, Collins, Randall etc. it seems very low for a proven striker at this level, especially when selling to a club who have been operating on a Championship budget (and will be hoping to do so next season).

His contract expires at the end of next season

For me it's not his goals we will miss.

It's his energy, his tenacity, his press and pace.

We have nobody in the team like him in that regard. Especially upfront.

Lads a frigging nuisance. We will undoubtedly miss that side of him.

Even if he is a plonker.

Yep. Offers something different.  Mind you I thought we should have kept Bod for similar reasons! Your nemesis 🤣

But then he would stay here, not starting games and when he does play, not making much of an impression (he's not alone on that, I'm not saying anyone else is any better).  Then leave for virtually nothing in either of the next 2 windows.  Just because we always pay over the odds doesn't mean we can demand it from others.  At his age and with his form, £750k seems great business to me.

I assume his Mrs thinks theres nobody for him to shag in Huddersfield.

He's been shit ever since his antics were shared all over social media

Hudds really gonna buy him after signing Taylor?

Removing 20 goals a season is not a good idea especially when you are leaking goals at the rate we are

This is all still a rumour is nt it ?

Funny reading all the outrage especially on Facebook from people who yesterday were saying all our players are shit.

This, we've no one with his pace (that are any good)

Whilst I don’t think Dion has been at his best this season, 7 goals and 4 assists from 16 starts is a good return for an out of form striker.

Unfortunately he’s another player that’s fallen foul of IE. It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see a replacement so IE can implement the system he tried at the start of the season.

If 750k is true, then we are a truly awful selling club. He’s an asset in this league and will score goals at this level. It feels a bit like we are having our pants pulled down considering the amount Peterborough have just made us shell out for Randall.

Aye, professional football clubs make shit signings all the time. Look at our lot.

We're also removing a player that has consistently failed to score in the big league games (along with everyone else).  So we might be replacing him with someone that can score in those games, not saying we will, but its got to be worth a try.

And the "20 goals" include all the cups and penalties - Collins and Morley or someone else will do that at least as well.  Yes we still need someone to score 12 or 13 league goals a season from open play (we all hoped McAtee was going to be that man), but preferably someone that can also retain possession better than Charles did and score in bigger games.
