Madines agent ain’t silly he’s got the bargaining power atm

 

So long as it’s not silly money get him signed up

And fair play to him, if we suddenly value him at £6m then he will expect his wages to reflect that.

 

If like you say it’s not silly money then I think it works for all parties. His current deal ends at the end of next season and which means that we’re in danger of being in a familiar situation of having a ‘prized’ asset with less than 1 year left on their contract, therefore reducing their value.

 

Extend for another year, give him an extra few grand (if not breaking the bank) to keep him happy and then if there are clubs sniffing around in the summer we have a stronger hand in negotiations.
