i saw his potential - I thought (well hoped) he’d fulfil it once he found his mettle and physicality

I was wrong as he never got near it apart from glimpses

Happy to admit it :D

You try it the next time Madine has a stinker

Ha - to be fair for a long time I thought that N’Gog would come good, he had a couple of games where he looked like he had something and I thought it was just a matter of time before he did it more often. Turns out the good games were the odd ones out.

He had ability but no application. That's a sure sign that you're never going to get a player out.

Rather similar to Madine. Ability but wasting it.

Now he's taking it seriously he looks a player.

In a parallel universe we went straight back up that first season down with Davies, Ngog and Sordell forming a 50 odd goal front line that was feared throughout the land

Saw Sordell score an absolute worldie for the England u21s and when I found out not long after we were signing him I was well excited.

Coyle, freedman and Lennon all had a nack of taking players with potential and burying that potential way down deep where no fucker could find it.

Same here, I have a mate who is a Watford fan who nearly wet himself when we spent £3M on him. Reckoned we had been massively robbed. His words, were not too different to what got Ron Atkinson sacked....

I never understood why we bought Sordell

Wasn’t we linked with another striker leading up to the end of the transfer window and when we didn’t get that target we panicked and when in for sordell. We should have gone for his partner Deeney.

Let’s not forget that Coyle had never even seen Sordell play, and asked Malky Mackay for an opinion. He then panicked and rushed signing him, when he realised Mackay wanted him at Cardiff.

£3.5m to save our season, and he buys a striker he has no idea about, and gives him ten minutes game time. What an absolute prick.

Far from a Sordell fan; would take him over N’Gog any day of the week though.

What a reckless fucking shyster Coyle was.

Indeed, the Sordell signing was another master stroke by Coyle.

Three million to sit on our bench and watch us get relegated.

He also bought someone from Rangers during that window that never even got on the bench.
