When the club is spending big money on players people have barely seen, not many moan. 

 

The NGog signing can be partially forgiven. He clearly had ability but Coyle was never going to be the man to get it out of him.

 

Spending 3M on Sordell when Coyle clearly had no intention of playing him, when we were desperately embroiled in a relegation fight is the single most ridiculous thing I can remember happening here. It wasn't even like he took a gamble on an unproven player to get us out of the mess. He paid serious money at the time, for a player he wanted for the future...without having seen him play live.
