Clearly Madine has come on leaps and bounds this season, his performances are much better and that’s baring fruit in terms of end product

 

With 10 goals and 5 assists this season he’s been involved with 60% of our goals, hugely important

 

However, I have to take issue with anyone who thinks he’s been smashing it for 18 months. His end product wasn’t anywhere near as strong last season. In fact he only scored 9 and assisted 5 goals last season! Considering we scored 68 goals it means he only played a ‘part’ in 20% of our goals. Morais has a hand in more and he only signed in January so was more influential

 

Based on what he did last season and the previous one in the championship I for one wasn’t expecting his performances to step on. Well done to anyone who knew for a fact that he would do more in half a season in the championship than he did for a full season in league 1

10 goals in 42 appearances last season. He did have two periods of injury where he seemed to struggle afterwards. 

 

I think he's been helped by getting rid of that persistent back injury this season, so far.

Agree - but also think he was very good last season.

I just think many of us thought he can’t be that shit, unfortunately he was.

Saying that, Swansea picked him up so they must have seen something in him as well
