We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

His net worth is reportedly £350m

Doubt the other guy comes close to that

Be interesting to know what Wrexham fans make of GT signing

Whilst promotion may not be the aim next season they are on an upward trajectory and want to get to the next level, so certainly not just a case of staying up next season

Is he seen as a player that will help them get to that next level?

Little bit sad about it tbh.

He genuinely cared the lad.

Hope he smashes his next chapter.

Absolutely.

I note that SS has said we need another midfielder now, which tells us that Simons wasn't viewed as a replacement.

Hopefully S-A can step up, assuming he is of that type.

Suppose that depends upon his development and contribution to their team.

Are they fuck 🤣

RR is on paper as they say.

He owns different firms which are worth Billions. He sold one with his mate recently for $14b.

He invests in start up firms and real estate.

Watched a thing on him last year by Forbes.

Aye, but wondering what they think right now

Are they buzzing about it or underwhelmed, is he expected to be a starter or not

He produced and starred in Deadpool v Wolverine, that alone made 1.3bn off a 200m budget

And that's just One film

Miles off.

Looks like Michael Smith is signing for Preston, so that rules us out!

There is obviously a sense that we are selling off our assets, therefore we need to act fast to replace/improve the squad. Sure, we have no choice but to trust the process, but the season is looming large and the ITK rumour mill has ground to a halt. Selling our better players is easy, but we are still left with a handful poor players that we can't give away.  Critical couple of weeks ahead.

The folk I used to work with at Airbus have really embraced it. All got season tickets now. Families fully kitted out. A few years in the upper leagues and I can see their demand growing. The uni there is getting bigger and can see that adding to weekly numbers. Doubt 55k u less they get to the prem but can see em pushing 25/30k comfortably in the end

This afternoon taken the grand kids to the cinema at Broughton (near Wrexham) , saw a few Wrexham shirts, first time I have noticed it, so they are gaining recognition and support.

If we don't sign 2 strikers this week then I will demand a statement.    Just want the signings then we don't have to read all the tosh on this thread.

Bank statement?

Miles off.

Based on last year, yes.

This year- no idea, though probably not ready yet.

He has time of course, and may well forge a first team place for himself in time.

I wonder if we may look to bring a loan in for a season.

I think we need to be patient, the new signings are an upgrade both in stature and ability, we just need more of them, so much money wasted over the last 18 months, it is not a bottomless pit. It will take time both on affordability and the right player at the right stage of development. Loans look the favourite for me which will happen much later in the window.

You'd think the transfer window shuts tonight with all the panicking going on. Got 6 weeks yet.

Aye. They know what they are doing. Let’s wait till the season starts.

In: TSL, Taylor, Simons, Gayle, Duberry, Dalby

Out: Baxter, Southwood, Jones, Santos, Thomason, Collins

Are the ins a clear upgrade in ability? Think the jury is out on that one. Still time and money to spend though.

They're potential, not pedigree. We need proven experience now.

i think so, for at least four of them, not seen Dalby yet, so could be five. Let's not forget why some of the players left!!

GT aside I reckon they're up an upgrade on testicle size and mindset.

Reckon Jones wasn't a shirker, but perhaps lost a bit of something after coming back from injury.
