4 down and all permanent - 2 young and promising.

I came to a couple of games at the end of last year and watched the game against Bradford here in the play-offs.

Seems highly thought of and could have a good one here.

Just listened to his interview.

Last couple of lines he said "ive been waiting for this for the last three weeks", just shows how much work we put into these things, and the stuff that thankfully (in the main) stays out of the limelight and gossip.

Certainly building from the back, although I'd be interested to see who we are going for in goal.

Are we to play one of Davies or Akin at left back, I'm sure they're preferred more as left-sided centre backs.

Maybe Schuey wants to give Conway the starting position to see if he swims, if he sinks then he might do what he did with Johnno and stick one of them at left back to make us more solid.

Only Conway at left back (unless you count Richard Taylor but all indications are he won't be here).

That's unless we consider Famewo our backup left back like GJ.

I'd argue we also still need another right back, we can't be having Christie start games for us in the Championship.

Sometimes its hard to assess whether a player has swum or sunk! I'm still not sure which of those half our players did last season, world (well L1) beaters at times, incompetent and wastefull at other times. Conway a prime example, but about a dozen others. I could say the same about most of the England squad too, apart from Kane, its nearly always a grey area regarding if players are upto the standard they've been asked to play at.

That was scary in L1, it's very scary in the championship. I respect his experience, calm head and set piece delivery. But woefully short of pace and fitness. We need Stephenson to not only be good but consistenly fit, assuming that's it for RBs. Tutu would have been a good option, and not just at RB.

I don't want Conway as first choice full back.

I hope not. That would be cutting corners. We were lucky to get away with that in defence after last January.

At a minimum, two are not at the level we need them to be now

Yes, but none are up to it. Sorry, but they just aren't.

I'd definitely be trying to sign another keeper and let Bonham and Co fight it out for a starting place, maybe someone like Danny Ward or maybe Dan Bentley, whether they'd come, haven’t a clue!
