FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Seeing Randall's name on a team sheet hasn't done wonders for my optimism.

Was stated a few days ago that Erhahon and Toal not yet fully recovered from last season’s injuries.

I know what you are saying and if I saw him on the team sheet v Preston I’d agree with you.

But I don’t think there’s much else they can do in the situation.

In an ideal world they’d have shifted him on. But there’s no point leaving him at home or not playing him when we’re short on numbers. It’s in our best interests to at least try and showcase him and keep his morale and fitness as high as it can be so he’s ready to move on when the time comes.

Despite the understandable olive branch comments about Taylor and Randall I’d be amazed if there was a way back into the first team fold for either of them.

You’re probably right and I’d also include McAtee in that but until we get replacements all 3 have a chance to redeem themselves. I didn’t see the game last night but other than his mistake for their first goal I understand Taylor actually looked OK. He and Joel must have been under more pressure than the rest to start with but I’d certainly give them a little more time before deciding. It’s up to them and if they don’t deliver they’ll be gone.

I reckon McAtee and Randall will play a part this season.

They've clearly the skill. McAtee changed games when he came on, he's versatile and gives his all.

Randall has it in him, I'd wager Schumacher can bring it out of him

Both are frustrating but Mcatee is worth at least a place on the bench. Randall looks shot and seems void of confidence. That miss yesterday sums him up. As weak as his effort in the shirt. He just needs a new start somewhere else....Was decent at Exeter, Posh perhaps that is just his leval

His movement was quite good yesterday but no end product.

I agree that of the two McAtee's more likely but I'm not sure I remember him changing many games

I think both will go on loan towards the end. Difficult to know what to do with McAtee as his contract is up next summer.

Had to check if that was one player or three we were in for. Just the one 😞

Was one of the best wing-backs in Portugal last season apparently, the likes of Braga and Sporting were supposedly interested. This year's Olkowski?

It'll be Gaizka

Like Stelios was

Club shop might not be happy though

Don't know if we can read anything into it, but Celtic's friendly this afternoon, Kenny is not in the squad. I presume he's got over his injury.

The talk of what to do with Taylor and Randall is logical, neither were part of the first team plans for any prolonged time and our promotion has sealed their fate if it wasn't sealed already.

McAtee was part of the 1st team squad (without checking) about 90% of the time he was available.

We are already short of attackers, and have lost at least two "no.10's" compared to a year ago if we count Dempsey and Randall. He isn't going anywhere unless someone comes in with money, which is highly unlikely with a year left.

The same applies to every player under contract that was part of most squads last season, we are as likely to lose anyone as lose McAtee. Presumably every player has his price and he's no different but I'd be amazed if any of the recognised squad leave before the January window (when it will be clear which aren't getting a game).

Randall is technically very capable but like a former poster appears to have no cojones.

I think I'd probably presume the opposite, to be honest
