Thanks Zico, I knew there had to be a fee but couldn't see it.

£15m for a lad with one premier appearance, bonkers.

Still goes to show if you can get a decent player at this level, you can get paid.

Surely we are due a bit of luck 😀

the one that used to get me was us getting £2m for Holding around the time Sheff Utd got £12m for Brooks and City signed Patrick Roberts from Fulham for £12m as well

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

That's the issue and unfortunately the market were operating in

If we get 20 games out of him I'll be amazed

Fingers crossed

At least we have brought someone in. Another striker, right winger, central mid is needed

Come out of absolutely nowhere that, fair play.

It's risky though, I was under the impression his back was fucked.

Know what you mean……but his goal scoring record under Schuey is impressive.

Quite happy if he’s our 3rd striking option, coming off the bench.

Hopefully we can get Dean over the line today as well.

Definitely spells the end of Kenny this then, especially if it is true that Dean is in for his medical this week.

If we can get Dean in as well before weekend it changes everything so let’s hope so. Hardie's at least proven at this level so if we can keep him fit he’ll be a valuable addition then hopefully strengthen again, maybe even Kenny, in January.

We were trying to sign him in January also

Agree with our forward line needs strengthening but to put RR and Mcatee in the same bracket is mind blowing.RR has shown he has something about him and can put a foot in when needed.Mcatee has shown he can't tackle, head a ball but can throw his arms in the air, blaming others for his mistakes/lack of ability

I wasn't putting McAtee and RR in the same bracket, of course RR is better. You said you can't recall McAtee putting in a 90 minute performance. I can't remember RR putting in a 90 minute performance, or anyone else bar ACD and maybe Sheehan (excluding defenders). If game changing means scoring a goal, McAtee did his bit when selected under IE, if game changing is just scoring a 30 yard wonder strike then we can't count RR either. Bottom line is most strikers are a bit disappointing when they come here if we're expecting a bagful of goals and hat-tricks.

aye, Dean looks like he is happening, was hoping for Kenny to be the other

hopefully Hardie's injury issues from last season are just a blip

I'd hate to see Kenny go somewhere else later on in the window though

He didn't always start under SS at Plymouth and scored a fair number of his goals late on, off the bench, when defences were tiring and bits of spaces appeared. He's a finisher, something we clearly lack. Hopefully gets a better run of injury free weeks and months with us, if so, all good.

I'm happy with this signing, assuming he's reasonably fit (who knows the answer to that one yet?).

Always been one of those players I've admired from afar.

The pro-Kenny fans that spent a fair chunk of Feb to April slagging off Hardie's contribution for Hudds will be fuming, or backtracking 😄

End of fucking debate

That says more about you than McAtee though

Aye. Will make a change to have someone up front who has proven they can hit a cow’s arse with a banjo.

Sick note central has any club signed as many injury prone players as us this last five seasons........Get Dean in will take Hardie as back up but as first choice no

First re-action having a couple mins too think.... i see Hardie as a perfect fit for the bench

Can score and perhaps happy to manage his mins.

Kenny has been injured most of the last 5 months, its just that we've had no games for nearly 3 of those months.

Whoever we sign is an injury risk, this time last year Dalby was a crock, a few months later it was ACD. Tutu was a crock before, how he isn't. Dempsey the same.

Its in the lap of the gods.

And Hardie is more proven that Kenny for the championship.

Afternoon all.

Hardie hasn't kicked a ball for us pre season to my knowledge so doubt he's anywhere near match fit.

His time here has been plagued by injuries and he was kept out of the team/bench by every other striker we had.

I've got no idea why we signed him to be honest as he doesn't really fit into our style of play/formation. Keeping him fit will be a big ask. Nothing against the lad, he just never got going here at all.

Well loan Kenny in January unless he fcks off elsewhere.

He's not getting minutes at Celtic.

players get injured, i get that, but Hardie was being loaned out by Wrexham because he'd been injured and no sooner did he sign he got injured again, it was a risky signing at the time, proved to be and i was glad we missed out, because we got Kenny

it's the injuries in quick succession that are the concern - that doesn't apply to the others

I wouldn't call any of the others a crock though, except Dempsey

Makes sense on a few levels, this.

Good pedigree in the Championship, knows Schuey's style well and vice versa, adds something different to Dalby. Obviously recent injuries not ideal but I don't think he'll be first choice.

Out of the blue but I'm happy so long as we get Dean in too.

Then we look very different going into the Preston game.

Hardie brings well needed experience, how many of our players have done it at this level before? Barely any, even including Dalby.

He's still only 29 so hardly out of his prime, just a big if we can get him fit.

Dean looks like the big striker signing we've been looking for.

Now we really need some talent out wide to give them the service.

Won't be space for him here if Dean gets done.

I imagine he'll end up at Preston or Millwall on deadline day.

and probably signed for £20M by a bottom end PL team next season

Hardie does at least settle the mind of the poster who yesterday said he'd not accept Bim Pebble until 17 seconds from the window closing.

Can we assume a natural link between Dalby & Hardie ?
