We need some pace and quality now, enough to give us a chance of survival, wingers and a different type of striker also, no idea who Dean is, but he doesn't look similar to what we have atm so hopefully he's good, but a lot fo these signings now have to get going from the start without any preseason with our players, we can't be chasing in this league. vital to get some points in August.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

So long as we get Dean presumably as 1st choice, I don't mind Hardie coming as a squad player, but if Hardie is the replacement for Kenny, it's a bit worrying.

We need someone with pace to get in front of Darby when he holds the ball up so agree hardie must be cover for dalby and hopefully it’s dean gone of the idea of Kenny the guy obviously heart isn’t here so move on

I see it the other way, Hardie would be competing with Dean as the Kenny replacement (pace, goalscorer hopefully, not going to be holding off the CBs with strength).

We don't have a replacement for Dalby as far as I can see, even if we signed both Kenny and Dean.

Last year we signed Burstow to stand in for Dalby and it worked to an extent, certainly for a few months while Dalby got upto speed.

Beggars can't be choosers but I hope we aren't counting on Dalby as our first choice, nailed on starter every week in the championship, we haven't been linked with any leaders of the line eg a Kyle Wooton, Olaofe, Sidibe who centre halves bounce off.

How has everyone decided that Kenny doesnt want to come here / heart isnt in it / only wants to play for Celtic ? Seems a massive assumption .

Re Dean, I haven't seen anywhere that we've had an improved bid accepted, so a bit assumptive.

Re Kenny, O'neals number 2 has said he's staying as wants to fight for his place, (again means nowt in football terms)

I haven't seen much of Dalby's ability to hold the ball up. He's not particularly strong for his size. He needs the ball in the box to finish chances. He's a poacher

Maloney (Celtics Asst Mgr) said it.

And to be honest, the fact we (or anybody else) haven't made an enquiry to Celtic, suggests we have sounded Kenny out first and his answer is thanks, but no thanks. Or maybe "not yet"

Luke Cundle. Close to being sorted I’ve been told

Did you miss the bit of the play off final after he came on?

Hopefully Hardie can recapture his fitness and pace from three seasons ago, in which case he will be useful player for you always willing to run the channels and score his fair share

Stranger things have happened.

MInd goes back to Kevin Davies who was out of favour when we brought him in.. look what happened..

Two are incomparable but players can make a comeback, hope for us he does and goes back a better player, although with being same league, I'd wager there's some buy on clause..

I think Hardie is a savvy move to be honest. Especially seen as we'd need to fork out for Kenny and he seems to be made of glass.

Round peg in a round hole and SS knows what he's getting. And shouldn't take Hardie that long to get up to speed either seen as he's worked with him before.

Kenny got crocked later on, but did very well.

Wouldn't describe him as being made of glass, particularly when compared to Hardie.

Dunno anything about him, other than being described as an attacking midfielder.

Does he play wide, or central?

I think the bit I like the most about the Hardie move is it came from nowhere… does fill you with a bit of confidence that plenty’s going on in the back ground we just have no idea what.

Going to take him time to get up to match fitness unfortunately.

Unless Dean arrives quickly, we're still short for Preston.

It's been a while since I've seen an observation about a player be this objectively wrong, fair play.

Nah, panic signing and only went for it as Schumacher has previous experience with him. The back room management is seriously poor and needs looking into for being ineffective.

Or something to that effect
