We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Had bad injury problems at Sunderland. We should offer him a pay as you play contract.

Totally agree, his injury record is shocking, pay as you play deal only imo.

on reflection, king ken needs to be an innovator

:D

Pratley still injured, Henry suspended, Vela injured for potentially rest of the season, think we need to sign this guy for our midfield, providing he's fit and ready.

We were all underwhelmed when Karl Henry signed but he more then anyone IMO has turned our season around so perhaps this guy could be a similar success.

I think most were underwhelmed regarding Henry due to his age and limited ability on the ball. This other fella is a concern purely due to his injury record, not his ability.

Still, a pay as you play contract would mean we don't need to worry about that.

I'd think given all Ken's statements about any of these free agents needing to be ready and fit to do a job for a dozen games he must be in some sort of condition, though, as has been said, caution to be the watchword over what to offer him given his fragility.

Remember at Sunderland him being a really decent player though, classy on the ball, could pass it to his own men and scored a few goals

Are you sure about the goals?

The internet suggests he doesn’t score them.

Ah well, maybe memory a bit hazier than I thought. We can live in hope I suppose, could do with somebody from midfield chipping in with an odd one now and then

It's often wrong, and sometimes contradictory.

From what I recall he's a decent touch for a big lad but not the most mobile. A midfield Peter crouch.

Hes in the stiffs again tonight against Burnley at Reebok

Chinedu Obasi is in the squad too

Class act but 'legs like quavers' according to the mackems! :-)

"I don't know if this is true but I've been impressed with Bolton this season. I was convinced they were going straight back down without a whimper. But they've done better than I expected. They were within a whisker of going bust and look to be clearing troubled waters. If they can stay up this season they can look to stabilize for the future. Just goes to show you don't need a billionaire owner but a good intelligent owner."

King ken getting the recognition he deserves
