If Ameobi comes back and we sign ALF, we're going up.

Getting a bit late after these 2 defeats

Doesn't matter which striker we bring in if our delivery is as crap as it was on Saturday.

I like Wilson and A Taylor, they're good 'uns, but fuck their crossing needs working on. They are nearly always an outlet for us and so many crosses hit first man or just generally a bit shit.

Woke up and no announcement of le fondre Ken out!!

Seriously though I know jack about this lad but as stated before we just have to take what's best available with our budget.

I think the club will scramble about now trying off load just to scrape ameobi

Had a look on the ESPN stats page, not sure how accurate it is but the assists table only goes down to players who have had 3 assists and Long doesn't feature on there either

Worryingly for us we only have Jay Soearing feature on the list with 4

I'm hoping he's a Jukewitcz type signing. Edited by Mounts Kipper

But but but but a 15 year old ITK Football Manager geek assured me yesterday alf would be announced by now

I just can't see how we could begin to afford ALFs wages.

Does anybody really think that he's coming?

Looking at Chris Long career so far, it doesn't look like he would be bringing many goals with him (9 goals in 50 games....according to Wiki)

Fingers crossed it could end up being a masterstroke and we turn out to be his spiritual home.........as I say, fingers crossed

I don't know a thing about this fella but he surely is a better option than Proctor or Wilkinson - them 2 really are no option. If he scores 4 or 5 between now and the end of the season he will be better than them 2

Can't imagine Northampton fans were too giddy about their new mon before about half four on Saturday.

True.

I'm sure that Long probably isn't the answer, but if he's coming we have to give him a chance and hope that he can do a job.

Hopefully Ameobi will come back, because at least he offers us an option  -  he may no be the greatest player in the world, but he scares the fuck out of defences. Do we know if he is likely to return, I've not really heard anything about him returning since he left  (other than him saying he'd like to stay at Newcastle, which he was always going to say once he had returned - hopefully those returning from the darkies kickabout will push him back out of the first team squad)
