We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Hobbs.

football is a cold business. Very little loyalty from club or players these days.

if both deals were on the table at the same time do i think Morais would've signed the 1 year with us or the 3 years somewhere else? definitely the 3 years. So its swings and roundabouts. We signed him when he had nowhere else to go.

Hes not the first and wont be the last player to feel let down by a club. He's no doubt let clubs down at some point in his career by choosing to go somewhere else.

It happens, thanks for all you did but we all move on

Aye he certainly suggested he'd been fucked over by the club and wasn't happy about it when he penned that goodbye tweet

In fairness to him we've got 3 better players than him for his position. Though I'd swap him for Buckley any day of the week.

3 years at £2K per week or 1 year at £6K per week? He'd have stayed here if he could. He thought he was staying.

yes because of the financial element. Not because some twitter idiot calls him the Postman and he loves him

All well and good saying you want to stay but if we'd of offered reduced terms he'd of been off in a flash.

At least get it right :D

Not really sure what point you are making? I think he wanted to prove himself in the championship. He was a good sort.

I think he deserved better from the club. Not a new deal, but probably being told via social media that you've been released is a bit much, when you've helped the club as much as he did.

Not saying we should have kept him, just that I think we could have handled it better. But if the story that his agents wanted us to pay the re-signing fee then perhaps Ken was just making a point?

my point is, yes he was no doubt disappointed that he never got re-signed. happens to players up and down the country year in year out.

you pointed out he would of re-signed. well of course he would if the figures you quoted above are correct. But lets not dress that up as him signing out of blind loyalty because it wasn't.

Could the club have handled it better? possibly. But, by coming out and making a statement saying "things have gone on which you dont know about but i dont want to talk about that..." is doing exactly that!

Did he do a good job for us? Yes

am i disappointed hes gone? No as we have got a better replacement

Will the club win a Nobel Peace Prize if they had handled it 'in the right way'? No

players do things wrong when leaving as do clubs. It happens time & time again. We all move on

Every Bradford fan I know thinks he is very good.

Parky will have inside info on him from Bradford.

Number 1 target for me.

And Stephen Darby and Jamie Proctor both worked a treat!

it was probably the best way to get hold of him as he seems to post his life on there

as gonzo said, his farewell did amuse me

yes, but not before you've made your displeasure about the whole distasteful affair quite clear

Slightly unfair on Morais IMO.

He mentions no names or details just displeasure at the circumstances.

The inference is sufficient

I'm not criticizing or knocking him, he's clearly not happy

I think we all know who he's not happy with

no issue with that

the wording amused me greatly though

and he should've gone to Iles with his side of the story, for a laugh like

Inbox me hun

Bradford fans reckon Wyke out for 6 weeks with a knee injury. He's nailed on for us now. Miss first 6 weeks of the season, get fit. Play first game in October, score. Next game after 20 minutes go down. Out for the season.

Or get fit in 4 weeks and go on to have a blinding season scoring a hat full ....who knows eh.

Agreed

And everyone has praised his professionalism all he way through, even LA.

Its Bolton...we all know.

Its a knee injury. And it has re-occurred twice this summer apparently. Danger signs are there.

more FACTS yeah ? he isn't good enough for the Championship hence why he is now at Crawley.....nice bloke but lets not pretend its the end of the world

I agree, he wasn't really championship standard. I wouldn't have kept him. The figures are guesses, but won't likely be far off.

My only criticism in the whole thing is that it seems like he wasn't told in the proper way he was being released. After the whole "parky tells people face to face" stuff for him to see it on the club's official twitter was a bit shit is all.

That is bad but i would like to think he had a suspicion about it when he hadn't had a contract
