We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

The he has only played L1 argument is daft. Many move up the leagues this way. He's 25 that's no age.

I want him because he is better than what we've got. Played in a pp system this lad would be a handful.

He is miles better than Donaldson

Edited by tomski

40 goals over two seasons. He's as hot as it gets beneath the Championship. He should be our number 1 target above all else

Donaldson will be another Wilbraham, Hesky, Shola Ameobi

Very limited over a 50+ game season

Wyke offers a bit of hope that we can find someone to improve us, it’s better than nothing / no hope at all surely?

I get that he’s probably better than we have but he’s far from being the only decent striker we can afford.

Not my job to know who’s available Europe wide for similar money and similar or even better standard but they will exist

Just had a nosey at the Alan Nixon section in today's transfer news in the Sun and he has said briefly:-

Stephen Ireland has a calf injury and could be sidelined for weeks.

We could be interested in Watford's Tommie Hoban on loan, especicially with other clubs hovering around Mark Beevers and we still have Jack Hobbs on trial.

Bolton are talking to Boaz Myhill.

Every Bradford fan I know thinks he is very good.

Parky will have inside info on him from Bradford.

Number 1 target for me.

Hope I'm wrong but I don't see us paying a fee, which is a shame as it would be nice to back Parkinson now if we have any funds at all, appreciate we might not have though.

Tend to agree but its strange that this rumour has gone on all summer, leading most of us to believe there is potentially a bag of cash if we need / really want someone. Surely if there was no transfer pot it wouldn't have gained any traction as a story to begin with.

Clutching at straws I think in terms of me believing that we will throw the best part or more than a mill at Wyke but fingers crossed we do

Will he? He signed for them after we got Parky

I think that's a bit unfair. Firstly wibraham and heskey were by any standards 'past it' and it was frankly embarrassing to endure their appearances (until the last minutes of the season obviously). There's nothing whatsoever to suggest donaldson is at that stage of his career, any more than say Wheater or ALF. On Ameobi, I thought he was quality for us (relative to the alternatives) and a great pro. I would have had him for the last 2 seasons as back up instead of Wilbraham and Wilkinson.

Looked a long way from Heskey yesterday to me. Certainly don’t want him starting 30 plus games, but think he can do a decent job. Offers a channel runner and is more mobile than anything we’ve had up front of late.

15 starts and a frequent sub and I think he’s really useful.

He scored 2 against us in the 2 2 at theirs so tbf, plenty have seen him

Problem is if parky finds another Madine (or gets Madine on loan), nobody else gets a chance. No striker gets 15 starts, they get 5 or 6 when Madine is unavailable or we play 2 up front once every 10 games. Having parky pick the team us like playing with the handbrake on.

Yes. He will know loads of people at Bradford, players, coaches, directors etc etc.

Morais was too. From what I was told he was informed that he could sign a new one year deal with us, but because we had released him, it would've meant incurring a load of agent fees. Wanderers wanted Morais to pay them, rather than the club. No idea if it's true or not.

This is what we you’re dealing with.

I just wish LA would come off twitter. It would make life so much easier for everybody

I used to agree with you on this, but he's got 16k followers, probably from all sorts of other businesses and interests, I bet Bolton fans make up for a tiny percentage of them (especially now he's blocked loads)

I don't think he should come off there, I definitely think he should have a long think about what he posts and when... Unless he loves the attention.

Brings it on to himself.

Gonch is right, he should get off it. I think he does love the attention mate.

I don't see what is to be gained by abusing him though.

I didn’t mind him but now find him frustrating. Saying that the idiots replying to him kicking off embarrass me

Sounds right. He definitely expected to be returning.

Huge messiah complex. Runs in the family

Aye he certainly suggested he'd been fucked over by the club and wasn't happy about it when he penned that goodbye tweet

I’m sure he’s happy enough though now that he’s got a 3 year deal elsewhere rather than 1 year with us?

Aye I love the I’m not the kind of person to comment stuff.

You’ve just done that by commenting ffs.
