Good call. Loan? If we bring in Championship standard players they will cost more, but ultimately that is where we will end up. Same logic applies if we bring in League 2 players.

As a loan deal think ticks a lot of boxes. 

Depends what % of wages Sheffield United would pay. 

I think even loan deals we are restricted by embargo on total cost of the deal.

Given the extra last minute costs the idea of a £20m cost is far fetched.

The comments on Twitter from Stoke fans look encouraging. Lots unhappy that he's not in the team there, which might be a bit of the Mustapha Riga effect.

Quick, direct winger who can beat a man... will do for me.

I'm just hoping that we get decent players in but don't go daft with contracts and wages. I'd be surprised if we have enough time to get in players for the longer term future of the club so today is more sticking plaster than the surgery we need to rebuild. Let's not panic and end up getting stuck with deadweight. Hopefully Hill can navigate us through these tricky waters and find the right balance when it comes to investment.

Verlinden is promising though.

Keith Hill has a history of finding bargains which is presumably why he got the job. If he gets Verlinden I'll be impressed.
