My mate got bollocked for ringing that

Had to pay £84 to the company where I was contracted or get binned .....thought I could get away with calls from the workshop to clubcall but the fly in the ointment was the fact the company was located in Skelmersdale & I was the only Bolton fan on site ....mmmm

I’d love us to be going for Piggott at Wimbledon 20 goals in league 1 last season in a shit side and he’s looking to leave

Remember when we used to get rumours from teletext

Yeah! I still remember when we Signed Scott Green from Derby for about 50K back in the eighties, the Teletext heading said " Bolton go Green " Can't remember what my Mrs said to me about 5 minutes ago though.

Yeah, he's turned his deal down, says he wants a new challenge.

Same words Sheehan used at Newport.

Would rather go for Paul Mullin personally. Out of contract according to transfermarkt website.

This is probably a gross oversimplification but Pigott is a big lad 1.87m. Haven’t got a clue on his play style but I’m assuming he’s a Target man. Which to be fair, considering our lack of goals from set pieces may be useful sort of player to have in the squad and offer something different.

Mullin being 1.77m however, 31 goals, in a lower league yes, but may be more in keeping with a “to feet” approach. I’m sure Cambridge’s playstyle was similar to ours.

I disclaimer myself with the fact that I’ve not seen either of them play much so I could be chatting shite but on the surface I’d rather have a more nimble, run-the-channels-type striker than a big man.

We’ll probably sign someone out of left field though. Thought it was good that no one saw that Johnston signing coming. Got some confidentiality in transfer dealings it seems!

Did I imagine it that Evatt or Hill complained at one point about stuff leaking out of the Bolton camp that he didn’t want people knowing about?

Not many players released by prem clubs. Noticed J.Okotcha (CB) released by West Ham. Played in their U23s aged 16. Considered a bright prospect and only 19.

If he’s  available I’d pick him up myself

His goal record last season speaks for itself but in the 2 games against us he looked Bobbins. But certainly worth looking at on a freebie.

Agreed, I thought he was crap against us. Must have something though

I think for the amount of chances we created at times last year Doyle should have had more. He might be that kind of striker who needs it on a plate

Doyle is a 1 in 3 striker at best and isn't getting any younger , but that said I do think he has got that quality that seems to win tight games .someone who can hold the ball up would be my priority although you can't go wrong having a poacher in the team . Whereabouts Mullin would fit in the team is another question ( if we stick with Doyle up top).

How many games did we win by 1 where doyle scored

I dunno, just a question

If mullin scores the 3rd 4th and 5th, he might not be the man for us

Doyle's goals removed, we don't win 8 and we don't draw 4. So 20pts.

I remember a Green for Go for Wanderers. Must have been a slow news day!

19 in 43 league games last season so a bit better than 1 in 3?

Your correct , me and Rudy were talking about the goals he's scored from the chances he gets though in general . Perhaps I should of been clearer.

In that case he's nearer a 1 in 6😊

It definitely was the last few games ( before Crawley) . We certainly need to be more clinical in this league though but I'd imagine another striker to  take the pressure off Doyle is  near the top of the list.
