Another one we seemingly let go for nothing. We could probably make a full 18 man squad out of players now playing higher than us that we let go / sold for money much less than their worth

I think this type of statement could be replicated country wide.

Ramsdale, Phillips, Mooy, Bartley, Dzemaili, Ward and Rodrigo have I forgot anyone else. Academy transition to first team has always been poorly run I put it down to David Lees arrogance

Holding sold on the cheap as well. Ashley Fletcher (at Watford) was on our books too, think they were both in the same team if my maths are correct.

A friend of mine has just informed me that James Hill (signed for Bournemouth from Fleetwood today - undisclosed fee) was released for nowt a few years back too

Every single club in the land has players like this that have been released or let go and made it elsewhere.

it’s a nonsensical argument that gets trotted out all the time.

we also have a certain section who wet themselves over the likes of samizdeh who was “the next big thing” “why have we released him”

If you fling enough shit at a wall some will inevitably stick.

and I saw nat philips listed above. We didn’t release him did we? I thought he walked. Can’t imagine why when Liverpool were wasting in the wings. Stupid cunt eh

You get thrown in jail if you say you're English these days.

So taking the piss then. Its what people like you want people like me to think and say but it's always people like you saying such things. Simples.

These days, you can't even say you're English can you?

If Ward is Danny Ward I'm not sure what the club's done wrong. He's had a good professional career but he hasn't done anything to suggest selling him was a huge error.

Ashley Fletcher left us at the age of thirteen when United came calling. I don't know how we realistically could've stopped that.

Jimmy Phillips ran the Academy
His son Nat was at the Academy
The club offered Nat a pro contract

Someone at the Academy advised him not to sign it and told him to just walk away.

Guess who?

Guthrie another one that slipped through the net in my opinion. We’ve been shrewd in offloading Clough and John Vela on the flip side

Another one that springs to mind is Jamie Thomas a real prospect but club made the call letting him go.

Different game coming out of the youth set up, we saw the same with Conor Hall and Samerzadeh does not necessarily mean they can make the step up. None of them have gone onto better things

I agree just remember the meltdown at the time… same with Jordan Lussey to be honest. Going back to signing former players is ludicrous and disagree with all of it to be honest.
