We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

We move on

3 disallowed goals for the opposition. And a cheery goalless draw.

Good luck to em all. Would love em all to make it, if not with us then somewhere else.

Brockbank must have settled for about 500 dollars a week and I bet he's shacked up in some 10 dollars a night motel, anyway, hope it works out for him.

He'll be at Colls in 12 months.

Once saw a travel doc with El Paso profiled. Basically El Paso is separated only by the Mexican border from Ciudad Juarez which is basically lawless. Kidnappings, drug trafficking, murders off the scale.

El Paso despite being the US is actually a lovely place.

Isn't it basically American non league?

The standard may be low but average attendances around 7,000 and season ticket prices average about 450 dollars.

There are 18 different categories of S/T prices, with very specific areas that you can sit, and only options on 2 sides of the pitch!  Its a baseball stadium, the football team was only formed in 2018.

All the best to him

A similar comment to Sarc in there- essentially things not always going according to what you want.

Nice enough letter, but time to move on.

They're fucking muck, they think all British are minted royalty, once I got chatting to a Texan Milf on a beach - I could've been up her quicker than Lewis Hamilton in pole position.

They think a GL scumfuck is royalty (not nonce Andrew - a handsome one, probably have to go back some).

We’re by far the greatest team the world has ever seen

In one. Amazing place. 15mins in to the initial chit chat ‘where abouts in Australia are you from?’ ‘So how long have you known the princes’

Not sure they knew we existed as an island in the mid west.

Brentford v Wolves

Game delayed 20m due to a drone flying over the ground. It was deemed to be a security risk !

Now, I get that this is bad practice but am struggling with 'security risk'.

Meanwhile, after that a police helicopter hovered over the area. Like that was far, far safer.

Home made explosive device attached to it. Innit.

Not sure what the helicopter could do if it came back, unless they have a chap in the back with a big net.

I think anything hovering over a large gathering of people has to be classed as a security issue nowadays. Just like a discarded backpack would be etc etc

After the atrocities in recent years, better safe than sorry.

The Arsenal cup tie - that mentalist who took off from Leverhulme Park, fan man, he did similar at Bowe-Holyfield (not taking off from Leverhulme Park that time) - he got twatted for his troubles. He went into the desert and topped himself in a cave - attention seeker.

I didn't know the final bit. Wow.

Yep. I get the principle just the counterpoint of a cop helicopter hovering over amused me.

The game was stopped at Coventry yesterday because a fan in the stands had a 'medical episode'.  Dreadful for the fan and those around them but I can't understand why the game is stopped.  It's happened a few times recently.

Been a fairly recent change to the rules that accounts for that. Means that medical resources from the playing side can help out with the fan without then being pulled out to deal with an injury on the pitch.

Anyone else on the 10.31 out of Piccadilly in the carriage when one of our fans collapsed?  Right next to us, I did initial first aid and was shitting it at first as I wasn’t sure he was breathing. Got him in recovery position and he came round. Let him have my seat while he recovered, but he was very pale and definitely not right. I passed him onto his mates, I’m wondering how he is.
