I've nothing against Coyle other than he's a shite manager. He was almost doing a great job though - lets hope they get DF in to finish the job

Shame they didn't keep him until they were down.

Surely that is it for him now?

There's still Blackpool, Preston, Oldham and Rochdale for him to go at.

Good managers are a very rare breed. I can only think of one and he got a bit lucky.

So all managers are shite

Caused more damage to the North West than... you know the rest.

Cnut couldn't even finish the job

The cnut

He's done pretty well for himself in severance pay over the past few years. Hopefully he's done enough damage that Blackburn are doomed.....hopefully with Wigan

Please, please, please let it be Dougie next.

He still hasn't managed to better the post Stoke 5-0 demise he wreaked on our club. He'll soon be back on 5Live spouting shite on a Tuesday night.

Fucks sake he was doing great there as well.

So happy when we got him, was going so well, there was a period in his 2nd season where we played really great football, like drawing 2-2 with Man Utd, beating Spurs 4-2, Wolves 3-2, Newcastle 5-1 and that Holden late 2-1 winner vs Blackburn.

I think Coyle did well very well for his first 2 seasons, up until Stoke away or you could say until Holden got wrecked.

In our last season I think we would have stayed up with 1 or both of Lee and Holden, we also didn't have the goals of Elmander and Sturridge that we had in the previous season.

Aye sturridge papered over a lot of cracks in that penultimate season.

Sturridge wasnt even his first choice.... so another who got lucky

I was prepared to forgive a lot of what he did, but throwing away that West Brom lead effectively relegated us.........the cunt

Looking back at that season, the last 4 games we threw away points

1-0 at Sunderland - drew 2-2

1-1 vs Spurs - lost 4-1

2-0 vs West Brom - drew 2-2

2-1 vs Stoke - drew 2-2

That Swansea game in October was when i gave up all hope.

Got to give him his due though he must interview very well..

Any stats on games we were losing/drawing that we went on to win/draw?

No that was Carlos Vela who given his record in La Liga for the past few seasons is one of the top strikers in Europe.

The fact that he did bugger all at West Brom when he was on loan there doesn't necessarily mean he would have also flopped at Bolton.

It seems that every bad signing is 100% the manager's fault, bad luck is never attributed to them. However when a signing goes right then it's down to luck.

From that season

1-1 vs Wigan away - won 3-1

1-0 down to Everton away - won 2-1

1-1 vs QPR at home - won 2-1 (the game Hill had a goal wrongly not given over the line)

1-0 down to Wolves away - won 3-1

1-0 down to Swansea at home - drew 1-1

1-0 down to Villa away - won 2-1

----

from 0-0

beat QPR 4-0 away

beat Stoke 5-0 at home

beat Blackburn 2-1 away and home

beat Liverpool 3-1 at home

For me the 2-2 with West Brom absolute cunt of a man hope he rots with all his compensation money he's swindled off clubs

His insistence on taking off Muamba in games cost us a lot points iirc. I wish someone had the stats to hand.

75% of the away stand clambering for him when we had megson in charge.

So I'm not quite getting the point you're making in your first post. We gained 14 points from losing/drawing positions and lost 8 points from winning/drawing positions.

Another one that grates was after picking up 7 points off everton, Liverpool and arsenal it was clear we were strongest with Muamba and 4-5-1

He fucked about v norwich and we lost

Yet he couldn't fucking wait to start 4 4 2 v wigan and drop Muamba, then we lose

Everyone could see it coming and he says "yeah but I played 4 4 2 away at Wigan and we won"
