Worst performance of the season, and there's been some bad ones. How can a player play in central midfield and hardly touch the ball in 45 minutes is beyond me. Surely there must be someone in the club who can play there and contribute more than Trotter.

I know we've had some poor players at Bolton over the years but many haven't played many games (Dreyer, Mears, Jemson etc) but for someone who must have played 75+ times for us, there can't be many worse than Trotter.

 

I would love him to succeed and take the midfield by the scruff of the neck but he's a lost cause. I for one won't be sad to see the back of him

Same here. Only 6 (ish) players still in contract after this season and two of those are keepers

I can't understand why we signed le fondre he doesn't fit into the style of play at all. We'd have been better off with Akinfenwa

Keep casting my mind back to the discussion I saw on Twitter during the window about whether he genuinely was Parkinson's signing, or more of a "gift" from the chairman, embellished by relentless pressure from the masses to sign him.

 

I like Le Fondre as a player and as a chap, seems thoroughly decent. But why have we signed him if we're not going to adapt our game to suit? He (and Long) are just going to get run into the ground playing like this.

He's an opportunist finisher, feeding off scraps and half chances. In his previous spell he showed he's excellent at it even at Championship level.

But we dont make enough chances or have any business around the box for him to do anything.

 

Weve signed some decent names the last couple of windows, but actually look more and more unbalanced with every new face

I thought Dreyer was ok but agree with rest of your post.

Think the lad with a beard was Sinclair? Considering his size he won pretty much every 50/50 battle, in the air and on the floor.

He missed the handball for a penalty for them. randomly gave goal kicks for corners and that sending off. what a poor standard they are now.

That's what happens when your chairman buys players that the manager doesn't want just to curry favour with fans before he sells off our prized asset for naff all

You're right; he was like it when we had that slump earlier in the season.

 

This "story" about pp fucking Madine over in front of the players: if true then very strange and desperate. Surely he would have made his point earlier as soon as the video came out.

Calling him out like that just before kickoff is just as likely to piss off the other players.

Have to moan about that ref again.

Honestly, that was the worst performance this season. We literally cannot pass the ball, as soon as our players get the ball they panic and hoof it. This is Parkinson's fault, he needs to manage the mentality of the team much better.

I think they deserve some credit as I thought they were one of the best teams we had played.  Slick, quick football, kept the ball and won most headers and second balls.  After the first 10 minutes, we hardly touched the ball for the next 15 minutes and how we didn't lose that game, god only knows.

Yes we keep on having bad luck (Spearing), but in the second half, we didn't have a midfield and looked totally lost and had little idea on how to break them down

2 shots in target in 2 games.

The ref was bad for both sides - but Vela was spoiling for a booking from the first minute (must have known he had a suspension due)

Thought he missed about three penalties for them (and one for us).

 

Can't understand how we passed them to death at their place and made them look a team of proper cloggers and then serve up that garbage last night.

If were honest, we've played well around in about 5 games all season. 

 

The fact is we are playing at such a poor standard you don't have to play too well to win. 

 

We have one of, if not the highest paid squad in the league. I accept we have injuries but so do all teams.

 

It's horrible to watch, all about set-up, lack of flexibility, back into positions, long ball and set piece box loading.

 

Since we beat Scunny NYE, we've gone backwards, when it should have been a spring-board.... 

 

We are still above where i thought we would be, but the standard is a lot worse and when a team like Bristol Rovers come to town and run the show, then quite frankly its embarrassing. 

 

After Wimbledon, i'm away for a while thank god. 

 

3 out of 4 Saturday away games take their toll, on both body, mind and liver.....

Bristol are no mugs I said this last week and have done well recently against the top sides.

There is probably not alot of difference between the sides in this league.

 

Clean sheets and a bit of extra quality got us up there. Clean sheets and quality have now gone.

Parky is like when we got beat by oxford early October seems a ruined man.

 

When you think back after that slump we beat millwall and bury away in a week a didn't concede, can we get back to that?
