Bolton 1-1 Bristol Rovers

Tougher game than we'd imagine IMHO...

Going for a 3-0 win for them with Alan Warboys scoring the lot.

I am not getting involved in the shit on the thread regarding that Blade getting chinned, so will say it on here...................just go back a few years regarding him....all will be revealed....a Saint my fucking arse...

Had draw written all over it.

We should have been wearing masks. Absolutely robbed a point from them.

Short term deal for player Jem Karacan possibly signing was at Macron tonight. From Marc Iles.

Who's he?

After we scored they had that good period. It lasted about 80 mins. I'll take a point that we didn't deserve.

Who's he?

Turkish played 155 times for reading scored 11 goals.

That was prior to the game. Rovers now drawn 6 on the run and played most of the top sides in that.

Back to Bristol

Their right back, left winger and the fella who was all left foot in centre midfield

Are they their players or prem loaders

Cos they could all play

Well just got back and what can I say. If we can't compete better than that then we may as well give up. You may say they looked good but all they did was win their battles all over the pitch. They were first to the ball, won most of the second balls and played from there. If they played a ball out their forward player was in front of our defender and holding the ball up and laying it off. I lost count of the number of times that our players were simply either behind their defender or easily shrugged off the ball. Apart from perhaps Beevers and Wheater no one came out of that game with any credit. Howard was very poor for me. Plus point was our goal which for once was a good bit of football. Hope Spearing is not out for long now. Oh yes and as usual the ref was piss poor. God I hate this league!

Howard scared the life out of me tonight, Warbarra looks like someone who hasn't played for a year, at least !!, & Deryk having been hopeless at centre half & full back has completed his hat trick by being hopeless in midfield.

We desperately need Madine & Spearing back in the side, but getting a point we hardly deserved & the Scunthorpe result mean it wasn't a complete disaster. All is not lost yet.

Talking to a Bristol fan after the game & he said that the left winger ,who I thought destroyed Warbarra, is one of those very hit & miss players but their absolute star player is the little guy ,with a beard I think, in midfield.

Bristol's Left Winger, in the second half, must have realised that the linesman wasn't keeping up with the defensive line and therefore he was stealing a four or five foot advantage every time he received the ball.

Tony Grealish :)

Bristol were great to watch. Their left winger controlled more long balls with one touch then our entire team have all season. It looked like they were taking the piss most of the time. Most of the time our lot have their back to the ball when we have it. Their players were begging for the ball when they had it. Not sure how we got a point but I'll take it.

Poor. But that ref. What a tool

Not from where I was sitting. It had a 1-3 + loss written all over that. Did Bristol Rovers really just give us a lesson in football?

Speaking to a mate before the game. (Edit - He works for the club) Madine is on an internal discipline suspension. Don't know how long for though.

Word is, Madine got to the dressing room on Saturday at Sheff United and was given an absolute bollocking from Parky in front of the rest of the team and then sent back to the bus.

Although none of us know has a ring of truth to it that as none of us believe the illness story. I would back PP if that's the case because he has been nothing but supportive of Madine since he arrived and deserves better from him. Let's hope he learns his lesson and is back in the team soon cause we certainly need him.

The knockers won't like it

But we like knockers

They were quicker, stronger, fitter, more aggressive, seemed like they won everything. Fair play to them they deserved the three points.

I know we won't play well every week but to be out fought pissed me off.

Parky needs to change the system if we haven't got the players available to play how he wants. It's not rocket science, something needs freshening up.

Ref was shite as per usual.

Fuck mop, that'd be a decent post if it had some punctuation in it.

Win game in hand were second FFS some folk chuck up white flag way too early.

That performance coupled with injuries and suspensions means its going to take an almighty effort to get back on track and maintain form to get and keep second

Cheers - I was in rant mode at the time :-)

That number 23 was head and shoulders above anyone on that pitch. No idea who he is.

Therein lies the problem, he is tactically threadbare without a big man up front he has nowhere to go, it;s going to be awful until he can patch up his differences with Madine.

We were poor in possession (the bit we had) and gave it away far too cheaply. Early on, we could see playing a bit of football around their lumbering centre halves we would get some joy but we quickly started hoofing it to someone who was being marked by said lumbering centre half.

The midfield is weak as piss and Long is no centre forward who can lead the line on his own. I wasn't convinced his 1st booking was even a foul either.

That all said, give Bristol Rovers some credit, they were the best team by a mile to come to our place this season. Wouldn't fancy playing them in the play offs should we get there anyway

The left footer was brilliant. Gave him my motm and described him as such - what was his name?

That was turd, completely out played, losing faith with pp he just hasn't got a clue and teams have sussed us out. On recent performances we will struggle to make the play offs never mind top 2 but amazingly we are better placed than before. Come on Phil sort it out, God knows what the team will be on Saturday but please not trotter
