Smart Business Casual

On a management course next week, dress code is "smart business casual". WTF is that?

I usually wear combat/cargo pants/shorts, t-shirt, fleece and adidas trainers for work.

Only time I wear a suit is weddings, funeral, yearly trade NEC exhibition and court appearances.

TIA

Imagine trying to get in a bolton pub on Saturday night in the 80s

Shirt n farahs, white socks and black moccasins

Our lot went SC in 2001 when our new american CEO came in . No ties or suits except for special occasions and jeans on Friday. UK business is behind the world in terms of dress sense.

  remember the days well

Business casual has been a nightmare for years in an industry dominated by suit and tie. Used to buy stuff like chinos and shirts that I would never, ever wear any time other than business meetings. Fucked it off. Business casual now is suit paints and shirt with no tie and no jacket. Saved a fortune

Still your copping outfit today isn't it LW? ????

Just because those fat cunts look like Alf Roberts in a whistle doesn't mean we should follow suit. British dress sense is good when we give it some thought.

I'd rather be overdressed than under, 'casual business' pah.

I'd say jeans ok as long as they're not blue

Jeans and shoes for me

That's what I was thinking of doing.

Only got a black tie for funerals.

Grey marls and a vest with a holiday destination you can't afford on it.

Suit and flip flops.

Suit, no tie. Maybe a jumper over the shirt if you're cold or instead of a jacket

Basically smart jeans, nice pair of shoes, decent shirt with a jacket or decent jumper. In summer a pair of dark chinos instead of the jeans. Oddly costs more than just buying a couple of suits!

I thought in your industry Crawley it would be taking your cravat off and maybe do the wearing a scarf inside thing.

Ice white shoes, ice white socks with double cadet stripe, t shirt with chevron action flash. It's the look that says I'm in Paris and nothing's going to stop me.

Jeans are not business casual, they are jeans.

That's spoken like a man who owns a pair of tan leather driving gloves. :)

Any cunt that expects me to wear chinos is in for a long wait, they'd get a suit and like it or lump it.
