I will literally piss my sides when the great unwashed scouse cunts drive Sam out, the most delusional set of fuckwit fans ever.

  • aye   look at where he took us from and where he got us too and the situation we found ourselves in   you can bang on about the likes of Cid, McCann and Samuel, but look at the others he did great

Is it ok to now give Phil Gartside some credit for those signings? Without him Eddie D wouldn't of happened or any of the European ventures. Golden memories. Thanks P.G. RIP

I don't fancy having him back to be honest. Good manager but I can't be doing with him

From what I heard losing a friend in the men bombing had a profound effect.

In terms of cash, he could probably buy the club.

Maybe an opportunity back at home would be appealing. Once the initial press coverage had died down, he'd be under less scrutiny than at a prem club, and he'd have more "time" from the supporters than those from other clubs.

Anyhow, all just hearsay.

No he couldn't.

As for the rest, he's not interested in a safe easy, no pressure job. He doesn't need to work again. If he does it will be somewhere he feels he can achieve more than he has thus far in his career.

How do you know he couldn't?

It was a bit of a jocular comment based around our parlous financial state, however if you're taking it seriously then unless you have access to his finances, you don't know either way.

Kinell given everyone's assertion that he's a greedy cunt he may have millions stashed away.

Well he might be able to buy it, but wouldn't want to. But he's not got a fortune he's willing to piss away up the wall, that is for sure.

I'm sure he's got several million stashed away. But as we saw with Eddie Davies even a hundred million doesn't go far and these days it is worse. You've also got to remember that whilst he lives in Bolton, he's not a lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan. He's played for any managed other clubs. I think the idea that he'd buy us is really fanciful. He's not stupid for a start!

You're rigbt he isn't. I doubt very much he'd want to buy us- on his own; but with partners/consortium may be different.

The clubs in his blood, and it wouldn't cost that much to buy relatively speaking. Doesn't necessarily need mega deep pockets to fund the club as ken has done so much to reduce costs.

As ken has asserted already, he's willing to sell on to a serious bidder, would need someone with confidence that the club can stabilise, and maybe there's an opportunity.

As said elsewhere, a lot of that will depend on our position further down the line.

Wouldn't be a great surprise if he was to be involved in some way.

I know where you're coming from mate, but I'd have anyone who could help. He's a cunt, but our cunt sort of thing.

Have you ever spoken to him? Because he talks about us, almost entirely in the past sense. He loved it here and loved managing us. But I don't think the club is "in his blood" in the way you think it is. He isn't going to do anything that spoils his life or plans for Bolton Wanderers. He also has a huge soft spot for Sunderland too... why he went back there as manager. But when England came calling he didn't think twice.

Reality is he'll do what is best for him and his family. I'm not sure that equates to him coming back and saving us. As romantic an idea as that seems. Just isn't happening.

Agree with that, he is indeed a family man.

I don't know him personally, but I have a neighbour who is a friend of his and knows him well.

He seems to think Sam loves the club.

I see a similar thing with lineker and Leicester. Didn't let his love of the club hinder his career, few do, but they don't forget either.

Anyway, I guess we'll see in the months to come.

Lineker was a Leicester fan though. He'd not give up his MOTD gig to manage them nor invest his money in them.

Gary Lineker has launched his bid to rescue Leicester City with the vow: "This club cannot go to the wall."

The BBC presenter and former Filbert Street striker is part of a consortium which is bidding to get the cash-strapped Foxes out of the hands of the administrators and back into the Premiership.

No need to has he.

In a different set of circumstances who knows.

Not saying Sam will with us, can only go off comments made to me, and reading/listening to him over the years.

As mounts has said something similar to what I was told, I found it interesting.

It may well be something and nowt, probably is, but arguing that he will definitely not be back in some form or other, is a bit daft. Unless of course you are BSA, know him or are married to him, in which case I'll accept that nothing's doing.

Heskey put more money into Leicester than Lineker.

The club is in Sam's blood. I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Just said on MNF he's not ready to take another football manager job 'at this time'.

I.e until Wanderers finally crack open the Canadian war chest

Fascinating listening to him talk tactics. Cunt or not its interesting.

Heskey used to live near me when I was at uni in Leicester

Has he not just retired? :)

Retired? Fuck off, he's revolting. Look at his suntan, it's leather, it's like a leather man, his skin. We could make a fucking suitcase out of him. Like a crocodile, fat crocodile, fat bastard. He looks like fucking Idi Amin, you know what I mean? Stay there? He should be ashamed of himself...

Come back Sam all is forgiven.

Turned down palace saying not ready yet - yet ....... can't see him just waiting for the January relegation saving brief surely he's done that now

Shania Twain was in London at the weekend. Flying visit!

Stelios was in the UK as well, it's no coincidence

Has he not just retired? :)

Never believe what comes out of his big fat gob.

He's also said that he doesn't want to get involved in a relegation fight. So that's us out anyway.

Pure fantasy

Maybe it was more down to fucking around in London all the time away from the family

He said no didn't he? I'm 100% positive that he won't come back here as manager. I think a Director role in a few years time might suit him. No way is he coming anywhere to fight a championship relegation battle. I could at a push see him fancying an incredibly well paid director of football role here with a younger coach but again I think he's still got ambition to manage again at a higher level.

maybe i'm adding two and two and getting five.. but...

we can still go up yet..

so..

he's probably getting another consortium ready as we speak.
