I would think security would be increased around MPs and their visits.

As for a general in increase in terror threat against people, I don't see it. Maybe the time of year as more shoppers are out for Christmas presents, but not specifically for an election.

I'd also hazard a guess (nothing more than that) that younger people would be the most likely not to vote if a high terror threat was perceived. As proportionally, they are more likely to be labour voters, reducing the threat level as the election was announced was more likely to increase the labour vote.

If there's suspicious circumstances or sudden death, pretty sure there would have to be a PM.
