Two things, Jo Cox's family might disagree about the EDL.

And as I've said many times, my grandad didn't go to war for some kind of ideology, he went because he had to. Given the choice, he'd have stayed here.

Think that was Britain first not the EDL

Aye, as would the parents of the little angels from Warrington - you know what I mean though.

Both my granddads signed up.  Not scoring points, mind, just saying.  I'd be just as proud if they objected and held fast to their pacifist beliefs.

They did so because they knew, or had a good idea, what the Germans would do if they landed here.  They went out to stop them before that happened.  More protecting our hard fought freedoms from an evil ideology than the other way around . . .

I'm not comparing this to any WW though, just to be clear, just the motives :)

I'm normally with you on this Carlos.

I hate extremists in either camp. I think most rational people do.

But this is rapidly turning in to a war, if it hasn't already. We need to play by war rules. I can't see the establishment stopping it any other way.

My issue is we don't appear to know who the enemy is, I'm all for giving it them once we do. I don't subscribe to the lock up all darkies ethos.

Halle-fucking-lujah, someone in the media saying religion should take the blame...

Makes an interesting point that Islam has no 'head of' the church like the Pope so it is always going to be fractured with various groups claiming their way of believing in a book written thousands of years ago is correct.

thats my issue. i agree it needs sorting and we need to be firm but sadly the notion from most of the morons is "They want to build a mosque near my house lock them up"

the EDL were in Liverpool on Saturday.....they really are just a collective of pissed football bellends. Following their beliefs is embarassing.

Some dicks can't differentiate between cultural differences and radicalisation.

That's the problem.

And that is precisely the point Stevie. A host of various groups such as Sunni,Shia,Wahhabism,Salafists.........they interpret their own beliefs then fight like fuck for centuries......and still haven't got anywhere.

For a sound voice amongst the media, check out the likes of those who founded Quilliam, one of them Majid Nawaz is a former extremist.

Rita Panahi from down under makes some good points considering she is a refugee in Bolty's homeland.

Haras Rafiq also talks a lot of sense.

The 3000 on the "watch list" would do for starters, quickly followed by the Hate Clerics

There's a theme of these last two attacks is that we did know but didn't follow up on initial suspicions for whatever reason or when folk reported them again

That's where we need to start

Not tags, maybe not internment but if thry are being brought to the attention of those who need to know they need to be watched more closely

I don't know the ins and outs but seems like more resources are required

This has to be the next step

aye pretty obvious who the enemy is these need dealing with

And blokes appearing on a jihadi next door programmes

I like the bloke shouting you are joking aren't you, well done whoever that fella was.

There's full footage somewhere.

The deluded fool was on the jihadi next door programme, but still free and walking our streets.

Why are these programmes even commissioned ? Farcical

Any that have been to Syria would be no loss.

An oldish clip from the other year, but high time fuckers like this little fat servile prick were locked up......

What gets me now, and then, was that if he'd been a white fella spouting racial supremacy and other such hateful bollox he'd have been shut up pronto - and rightly so!  The yogurt knitters have dropped some bollocks, no doubt.

I'm all for freedom of speech but with that there is a price, or agreement, if you will.  It's a fine line, I suppose.  For me, you can say you don't like Pakis, or whatever, that's your right as a free man; but what's clearly out of order is threatening to put a Union Jack with a big fook off cross on it over Islamabad towers.

Say what you like but do not, ever, incite hatred, or threaten to overturn whole nations.  For that alone he should have been put on trial.

edit - I'm no legal eagle but perhaps in the eyes of the law it could be argued he's prophesying rather than preaching?  Still, though

Aye, I noticed that.

But at least he still managed to track down that extremist Abu Haleema last week. Shocking to think someone spewing out hate speeches and calling for us mere infidels to die on our streets was actually living 100 yards from a Primary School.

Scary thought.

The numerous branches of Protestantism seem to crack on with believing theirs is the only true faith without butchering folk.
