Spider Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 i don't think it's fixable this season. But think the paying public need.a bit of hope..a change gives hope. Fair enough That's where this becomes about personal preference/opinion I just think the situation is such that change wouldn't really make a difference and the club have put a lot of faith in PP. I get your reasoning, but I'm still 60/40 in favour of seeing if PP has the ability to turn it round. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I'm for keeping Parky, decent bloke not bad manager but undone by lack of budget, transfer embargo and injuries to key players. Quote

The Wanderer Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 The amount of times we gave the ball away today was ridiculous,in our own box a couple of times. Wheater and Beevers struggled like fuck, little looks like an accident waiting to happen constantly. Karacan dosnt seem to do much and pratley and Henry look too much alike for my liking. One for the stewards are cunts brigade. My lad, 7 and his cousin 9 went for a piss about five minutes from the end. Stewart wouldn't let Them back in, once your out your out he told them. Luckily they used there bonce, walked to opposite side of stand, bypassed the prick and come and found me. Safe to say I went mental, the prick laughed about it. Supervisor came over and he joined in bollocking him. Quote

Strange you slated the players who did reasonably well but didn't mention the 2 weak links on the pitch in taylor and Armstrong, from my view point admittedly watching the game on my phone we played reasonably well. The GMR co comms guy was pretty damning in his assessment of taylor. According to radio we played ok defensively but had no cunt anywhere near madine again. Quote

Walkden White Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I'm for keeping Parky, decent bloke not bad manager but undone by lack of budget, transfer embargo and injuries to key players. And has certainly made mistakes which hopefully he can learn from. Quote

I wouldn't class that as slating mate. Wheater and beevers did struggle like fuck. Wheater should have been booked 8 times for shirt pulling and grabbing, he was lucky to be on the pitch. Karacan, in my opinion dosnt have an end product. Gave the ball away too much. Little did nothing wrong, he just makes me nervous. Armstrong offered fuck all. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 It is all down to preference. Personally, we've still got a chance. And I'd like to give another manager a try, as I'm sure they can't do any worse. As for Parky, yes he got us promoted, but not promoted convincingly, and with some really horrible football. I'd rather watch something a lot more exciting, and more like how other teams in the league are playing. But like I said, it's all down to preference. If we were getting points with hoofball, I'm all for it, but it's not this season. Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I've said all along there's no other manager out there, and Phillips and Lee aren't gonna bring results in, but Parkinsons record in this league reads piss poor, played 60, won 8 says all I need to know about his abilities, fuck knows what the answer is but Parkinson aint it Quote
Tombwfc Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Element of truth in this. Seige mentality No team or fanbase have ever accepted being as bad as we've been this season, the way that we have. For all the things you can argue Parky's not had, he's been given an astonishing amount of patience from the fans. It's been two months, 11 games and we haven't been in a winning position for a single second. Quote

It's an amazing statistic that 11 games into the season the attacking play is so weak that we've not been ahead in a game once. Some clubs would bring in an attacking coach to help the manager but in my opinion if the manager doesnt have the knowhow to open teams up then he should be replaced. "Working their socks off" as Parky claims they are doing is a minimum requirement but not enough on its own for me. People who applauded them for keeping the score down at Bristol and Aston villa no doubt disagree. It'll be interesting to see Ken's opinions on the latest defeat on the club website after he shared his thoughts on the Brentford and Bristol losses.Henry was brought in to add steel he said, i am interested to what his plans are to add creativity and goals. Parky has been without Vela and Ameobi who are 2 players who create and score so he should be judged when these 2 back in the team the main concern for me is the reluctance to give our only genuine goal scorer game time that can't continue he needs to find a system that enables him to play ALF. I'd also add Taylor is out of his depth at this level and we cannot continue with him at left back. Quote
darrener Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Parky has tried everything but he doesn't want to change Madine and maybe play armstrong and Alf. He says he can't find a place in the formation for Alf so why not try and change the set up. Madine has done well but his job is to score goals and he doesn't do that and that is why we will go down. Teams who don't score many goals get relegated. Can we replace parky? I don't think we have the money to do so, I just wish he would try something different Quote
Ani Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 One thing I do disagree with folk about is this try something different, we should decide on a formation and stick to it, I think we keep changing and that does not help, we have had 3 4 and 5 at the back, 3 4 and 5 in midfield and 1 2 and 3 up front. Sadly it looks like we need 5 at back, 5 in midfield and at least 3 up front. Quote
