Not wrecking ones but it will depend upon how different groups react. For example Labour backbencher want cast iron guarantees on workers rights. This might lose ERG support etc... The majority of support for it is good for Boris. But it depends how many backed it to get through to the amendments stage. Boris already agreed to an intervention over workers rights in the debate earlier. Much already debated over it. No government will make cuts to rights as they will be voted out. Moreover, in many areas, we already have better rights. Quote

Have you got some up to date links on workers rights, comparing ours with those in the EU mate ? Quote
paulhanley Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 If I was the EU and Boris Johnson I'd mutually agree extend to something like November 10 and say if you don't agree by then it's no deal. It's clear that the EU are now not far from being as pig sick of this cabal of remainiacs as the rest of us. They compromised on Boris's deal and there's a much stronger diplomatic relationship between our Government and Brussels as a result. Bercow, Grieve and co could be easily cornered by such an approach. Quote
Spider Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 The approval of the deal in percentage was 52/48 At least there’s some symmetry. Quote
Moon boy Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 5 minutes ago, bwfcfan5 said: Indeed. Why can’t Boris suggest the EU Grant the extension but we leave as soon as we pass our legislation. Not hard. Wow! A Remainer being reasonable, what’s changed? You know full well Bercow, Greive, Boles etc will throw in loads of Amendments that Boris, with a minority, could not stop Boris’s deal has been accepted by a majority of 30 MP’s, something remainers said could never happen, the power has shifted to Boris, what he does next will be to strengthen his hand not weaken it Quote

Casino Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) Tbh, spider, neither do I, but I've got eyes And I can see a pile of shit in front of me Even that dickhead brexit minister didn't know the detail of the deal earlier, yet folk think it can be railroaded through in days Get to fuck Edited October 22, 2019 by Casino Quote

Casino Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Think they said 25 billion crosses the Irish sea And it's all attracting tariffs with this deal But when you send it to NI you won't know how much the tariff will be until later dependent on if it ends up in the south Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 No tariffs on trade between gb and NI. Paperwork yes. Quote

Well, fair enough. Eventually, this liquidised shit of a deal will obey the laws of physics and trickle down onto everyone’s head. The Irish economy can turn to the EU very easily for its goods. Despite what Rangers and Celtic fans would have you believe, there’s good business done over the Irish Sea. Well the french, Dutch, Italians are just about to get the easiest wins they’ll ever have from the Emerald Isle. But, it’s a win on social media and that warm feeling in your winkie that matters. Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Don't know what folk really expected. Plenty of talk about the difficulty associated with NI. Always likely to be some sort of differences. Or should we just build a big fuck off wall? Quote
Spider Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Actually, there is one chink of light. When the pound absolutely lands on its arse we might get some business from the Irish. But Mounts reckons the pound will be stronger than ever in Sunny Uplandshire so not holding my breath. Quote
