The deal, I expect, will be a load of shit that suits nobody Quote
leigh white Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I hope the track and trace scheme lot haven't been given the job at our ports. Quote

Ani Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 It is basic negotiation for the chief negotiators to say there is nothing more they can do and pass it upstairs. Article of fishing on local news , fishermen out of Scarborough are expecting the Govt to cave in on fishing rights. Also made the point that there are so few boats left in Scarborough even if they do not cave in there is hardly anyone to pick up any new rights to fish and certainly not enough boats. Quote

I’d have made sure it was done ages ago so that businesses and everyone concerned were ready to trade on 1st Jan You clearly don’t export or if you do your involvement is minor. This is a fucking mess. Most places close down in 13 working days for xmas. And still don’t know if our lorries can just rock up in Calais and Dublin and crack on as normal. Unless you know different, Nostradamus? Quote

Spider Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 We import from the Czech Republic and Italy on a weekly basis We have no idea if the orders we have due for delivery on 7th Jan will turn up. Maybe @Mounts Kippercan clarify them we can, in turn, give assurances down our supply chain? Quote

Spider Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Mounts is just full of generalities and rhetoric We have a business to Run. And people in the EU do not share this hand-wafting arrogance Quote

Escobarp Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 We’ve had no delays at the ports bringing goods in so far. Business as usual currently. Good for us it’s has slowed down now. Will ramp up again in the new year and who knows then what it will be like Quote

Stop talking like a politician. You’re not a politician. Leaving is fine. It was decided 4 years ago for fucks sake. All that matters to me and countless others is that the transition is smooth and we can carry on trading. In fact that is the absolute LEAST we should expect. Brexit was, remember, meant to improve our lives. So to be in this position 3 weeks from d-day is utter fucking dogshit and you know it. It just doesn’t affect you so you’re happy with your vague rhetoric and nonsensical ramblings. You act like you’ve called this all along. To a degree you have because it’s been wank. So you’re good at predicting things being wank. Well done. Have a new hat. Quote

Since you’re having a tough time figuring this all out , let me highlight the more obvious points for you. Again.: This trade deal could and should have been done ages ago. It’s not a negotiation where a competitor is waiting next door to steal “the business”. This is a unique political instance that our leaders should have sorted ages ago. The reason being, so that the millions of businesses directly affected by the outcome had ample time to prepare for the new way of life and start the new era on the front foot. Instead, we’re all scratching around for any clues as to what next year might look like. It didn’t have to be this way. It is not an episode of Only Fools and fucking Horses where Del Boy is selling diamonds to a Dutch thief. All this horseshit about brinkmanship belongs nowhere near the most important European negotiations for 50 years. Theyre playing games and you’re lapping it up like a grateful whore Quote

Anyway, just read Boris is taking personal charge now. What could possibly go wrong? Spaff some Latin at them, that'll show Johnny Foreigner. 😀 Quote
